I just wanted to say thank you for all the videos on the youtube-channel. I'm a youth pastor and I use this when I'm preparing for my teachings and I use it when I myself have questions. Keep it up!
Man that cleared up a lot of things for me. A lot of "Christians" have said you have to me you have do this and that to be saved. But the analogy of the $1.00 bill cleared everything up for me. Thankyou!
Thank you very much! I had been saved for a while, but never really knew what it meant. No one ever told me and it just kind of happened one day. As you explained in the video I only believed he existed as a historical figure. I didn't realize that I not only have to believe he existed, but I also have to believe that he rose from the grave, healed the sick, turned water into wine, and that he loves me. "Believe in him" to me means believe in what he can do.
It's personally knowing our work is inadequate, only Jesus' work was adequate for our salvation. A great subject for this time. Too many people who "believe", but don't accept Him as LORD. Acknowledge HIM and He will acknowledge you. Acknowledgement is more than belief, it's knowing, trusting and doing His will.
Believing in Jesus is a metynomy. The name is tied to what Christ did. One believes in the WORK of Jesus Christ on the cross, which justified him that believes. "So then, as through one offense the result was condemnation to all mankind, so also through ONE act of righteousness the result was justification of life to all mankind." Putting your trust in Christ for your justification results in God's imputed righteousness.
When I listen to some of the 'Christian' channels, I still get the impression that most of them believe that Jesus is God! Therefore they must believe that Jesus raised himself from the dead. Sad how many think they're saved and they're not 😔
Patricia Friary I have a question for you do you consider trinitarians to be saved I'm a non trinitarian I used to be a trinitarian and to me it seems like According to 2 Corinthians 11:4 and Galatians 1:8-9 that they are not saved because they claim Jesus was not created and we claim that he was and I've been praying about this issue so I don't know whether to consider them saved or not your opinion would be greatly appreciated have a blessed day
If you believe in him you will read the books of Acts then with eyes open you will see how they responded to the invitation given influence by God and his Son.
Do works alone get you saved ? I believe God's son died on the cross so that m every person who believe that will go to heaven ... I pray and ask forgiveness of my sin's . Ask God to help me to stop !! but I will always sin as everyone will !! Right ?? So if we will always sin , tho only reasons I am saved is faith ?? I want to go to heaven I try but I fail to be pure like God .... please show me the way :) am I lost ?? Thanks.
Don Whaley have a Look at Roman chapter 7 and 8 and then romans chapter 10verse 4. you are right we still sin, but when we try to live by the spirit we will not fulfill the lust of the flesh, sometimes we still fail to live by the spirit, but i can tell you when you believe in your heart that he died for you and rose from the death and you speak with your mouth that he is lord, than you are saved. Believe in his unconditional love for you and that he is the messiah of mankind, because he really is and he really loves you and never will forsake you:) God bless you
Don Whaley if at a point in time you recognize you were a sinner in need of a savior and you put your trust in the Son of God Jesus Christ and his death burial and Resurrection alone and not your own Good Works you were saved and you have eternal life as a free gift without having to do any works of any kind in return and and you dont have to confess your sins you don't have to do that anymore because according to Colossians 1:13 Colossians 2:13 Colossians 3:13 and Ephesians 4:32 you have already been forgiven of all your past present and future sins through the once and for all sacrifice of Jesus Christ so you don't need to ask God to forgive you of them since he already has

This needed to be said.
Thanks John.
It's like the whole thing about baptism, it's acknowledging Jesus as our Saviour and Lord before man.

Indeed clear as water, John did a good Job here. easy to grasp yet edifying.
