You saved my corn crop! Just direct sowed some miniature popcorn seeds with my sweet corn transplants. Will be digging up those seeds tomorrow! Thanks!
Thanks for so much great information. I’m still a novice (almost retired teacher) who only started gardening during the pandemic and now I’m hooked! I hope I’m more successful this season! What about carrots? When should they be planted in zone 7 (west Tennessee). Thanks
Here's the rule I use, most seedlings take about 6 weeks to be ready for setting out. Choose the day you want to plant them out and count back 6 weeks. Then add an extra week for hardening off and you are good to go! So count back a total of 7 weeks.
A few seeds is all you will risk so give it a try. Most likely it will be very strong tasting and bolt quickly because of the summer heat. But see what happens???? Maybe try planting it in a shady spot.
@@StoneyAcresGardening Ok. Thanks. That’s what I needed to know. I have some space in the yard but not a lot so was thinking of going to tower system. I look into academy. Thanks.
im in zone 8b, and its actually been pretty dang warm up here (seattle), so i bunged i my tomatoes and peppers last month. but im excited for it to warm up and for them to really get going. about lettuces though, should i just harvest and flip over the space for more summer plants? i have bibb, R&G leaf, and even iceberg. thanks so much. i like your presentation.
So is this for putting seeds directly in the ground or bringing out transplants? I am just getting started with my garden. Im doing a raised bed in zone 8a and idk if I need to buy plants already established or seeds?
The Zones I'm referring to are a North American thing, I'm not sure what the equivalent would be in North Africa. But based on what I know about North Africa I would say you are at least a Zone 8 maybe even Zone 9 or 10. Sorry I don't know how to convert them for you region.

Do you cover how to grow in small spaces?
I don't have a lot on my UA-cam channel, but I do cover small space gardening in The Gardening Academy.

Yes if it is getting warmer than around 80 or so then I would harvest them and move to some summer crops.
Can you please give links to where to buy summer crisps lettuces

I would do tomatoes and peppers from transplants. Everything else on the list can be started by seed.
North Africa is 7 and 8?

Planting ...from seeds? Or starts?
Totally depends on the plant. Tomatoes, peppers and most of the broccoli family I always plant from starts. The rest can go in by seeds.
