I just want to thank you guys for approaching Dakes in a non-judgmental way. So many channels are quick to pounce on any errors and conclude the entire work is invalid. The same logic can be used to refute the Textus Receptus, and the Codex Vaticanus & Sinaiticus, and most, if not all, of the work of Westcott & Hort.
Awesome review. I was given a 1987 printing of the standard 4 column. It’s nice but bounded leather isn’t great for overall use and longevity. Also I just ordered the large print bonded leather. Hoping to get both rebounded in the future.

I have had a couple Dakes bibles for the last 20 years or so.. but I saw that many are selling for 40- 70 dollars now on ebay in Genuine Leather.. at first I bought a bonded leather one off E bay for about 25.00.. and after about a year.. the cover became very tattered... the next one I got I paid more for... but the cover is amazing!.. it is so Soft.. in genuine leather.. it fits in my hand like a glove.. It has the softest cover.... the cover feels like soft skin... I have a couple ....as I said..... from around the year..2000..these are in genuine leather.. but Nothing like this one from the 70's... my first two Dakes with genuine leather covers.. feel like tree bark.. very rough..And Not pliable at all.. very Stiff... I know they are leather.. but they are NOT pliable...and Not very pleasant to the touch.. If you have Not already paid a bunch of money to have your Dakes rebound.. might I suggest.. you try shopping on Ebay?.. but make sure that the bible is for sure in genuine leather.. look at the photos.. a Dakes in Genuine leather will state "genuine leather".. in the bottom corner of the back cover.. and get an older one preferable from at least the 60's or 70's..

Never , God's word infallible, Not Dake's...you misrepresent and if Dake was anointed to do his calling, I would think you and people like you would be slower and pause with your comments. For sure your name doesn't reflect the King in the Bible. I expect more from you especially having the name "David"

@@DakePublishing I have had a couple Dakes bibles for years.. but I never used them that much.. one Large print and one regular print... back then I thought there was too many notes in them.. and the Genuine leather covers felt very stiff.. and rough when holding them.. I don't know why the genuine leather covers felt so rough....even after applying tons of leather cream and softener to them.. and letting them sit.. in fact if I don't do this on a regular basis the black covers begin developing.. white streaks in between the leather scales.. about 2 years ago I saw some people selling Dakes bibles on line at good prices.. and I managed to get a ninth printing one.. from '76 in genuine leather.. and I have to say..... the cover melts in my hand .....it is so soft.. I was using the Liberty Annotated bible (one I had rebound in Goatskin about 18 years ago)... for about 20 years.. but for the past 2 years I have only been using my Dakes.. what a God send.. I did not even mind all the markings from the previous owner in it... this bible is a real blessing.. now I can hold it.. without giving my hand a blister..
I seriously doubt it. Is Dake guilty? then guilty for what believing God's word.guilty as charged. Hmm let me think when Finis Dake went to Heaven, He was chastised for believing God's word. I seriously doubt it, Most people who have a problem with Dake , they stubble over believing God's word. Whether you agree with him on how the Word should be studied go for it but to say He didn't believe the Literal word of God as it was written is a lie and not an honest person. Literal is safe unless the bible uses symbolism that conveys a truth. It is human nature to discredit someone you don't agree with and especially true to talk bad about someone WHEN YOU WILL LOOK FOR ANYTHING TO DISCREDIT HIM OR HER.

I would sell you a genuine leather version but I took my scissors and cut out all the heretical study notes, so there isn't much left of it.

I love my dake. Do I agree with everything he does? No. But that’s the same with ANY study Bible. I’m a Pentecostal pastor so Definitely a great Bible
