The first ones are so dissonant and chaotic, it just doesn't flow right, it's kinda depressing but with a heavy metal beat to it
I thought spring did a great job on depicting the vibe if spring, but summer seems weird, unmelodic and just random, to me, it doesn't sound like Weezer nor Summer.

@@Ewr42 I almost thought that, but if they did what you're suggesting they run the risk of doing a repeat of the two or arguably three summer themed albums they've done in the past. This one is more romantic and mythic; that's the theme of Szns.

I like the juxtaposition here. Fun fact, Opening Night on Spring starts with an interpolation of Vivaldi's Spring, BUT, the solo at the end is an interpolation of Vivaldi's Autumn!

Seems to be working as a transition from Spring to Summer. Still has the classical instruments of Spring and the themes of angels etc. But it’s about Angry angels putting an end to the happiness of the humans, that way we have an explanation for the shift In mood. Pretty smart imo
Interestingly, this song interpolates Vivaldi's Winter. Almost like a juxtaposition. Kinda works with the "Cool, kicking back in your lawn chair" lyric. Keeping cool in the summer vibes.
As for the lyrics, it almost sounds like a metaphorical "release of the demons", AKA the summer heat
I interpret the first verse as "God" singing about torturing humans for entertainment, and verse 2 could be "Satan" calling him out for all the suffering. "Threw out your baby expecting we'd praise ye" could reference sacrificing his "son" Jesus
