I got my business cards. business license I opened my business, and 2022 was my first Mother’s Day, boy was I busy, but whenever I would get stuck I would watch FDI videos get ideas and keep moving I have no words to describe how taking my classes in this school helped me. So glad I chose this video. I’m a RN who took some time off to attend a floral design school last year. I now design every Saturday to both practice and rewind. This really confirms that I’m on the right track. When I order my flowers I do use my business name and it never gets old! Thanks for your knowledge as always.🌹

Just had a quick question and maybe you could do a tulip tuesday on this or address it in one of your lives. I love floral foam and I know there are those that do not so I apologize right off the bat if I offend anyone. That being said foam is getting harder and harder to get and I have boxes of scrap foam and am just not sure how to use up my scraps. I know if you stack it it will not wick from one piece to the other, but some times I don't have long enough pieces so everything can be vertical. Thanks so very much for your time and help.
Now that is a brilliant suggestion, Carie! We'll definitely add it to our list of ideas for either Live shows or a Tulip Tuesday Tip. Everyone is trying to maximize their options right now, particularly when the supply chain has issues, and if there are ways to use those scraps of foam, it would be awesome. Not sure if it would be profitable to do some smaller designs with the shorter pieces, perhaps in unique tea cups or other custom vessels. We know that larger genuinely equals more value in the eyes of the customer, but sometimes those small and unique pieces are just what they want, especially if they can purchase them in sets of one, two, or three. Either way, we appreciate you offering us this idea and we'll see what we can do with it. Thank you very much for taking the time to watch our show and we are delighted that you join us so often. Have you ever done a video on ergonomics? Protecting your back and preventing repetitive stress injuries? Good tools, proper posture, etc.? Just a thought :) Keep up the great work!

Is there a reason why flower school is so expensive? I have people asking me this all the time. How can a teacher can lower the cost to make flower school more available to more people. Not everyone have $2,000 to $5,000 to start a new career.
That's an excellent question, Ana. At Floral Design Institute (FDI) we are able to provide education for everyone. You can access our free resource library and videos to begin. For a bit more technical information, the Flower Lovers Club is just $59.95 per year. You can begin the fully teacher supported certification program with an investment of $825. Many students find they are employable before completing the course. Some students help finance their studies by selling their design assignments. I invite you to join us on the weekly livestreams to meet FDI students, graduates, and fellow flower lovers to hear how they have benefited from their Flower School investment.
