Helens Theme and Flight of the Bumblebee solidified this as my favorite INK song I love the Candyman soundtrack it's one of those movie soundtracks I always have to listen to.
my favorite is "how bout a hand for the honeybees hooked on the creed of the colony" such good word play and usage of the story of Candyman involved there
@@the_spider_king it’s not necessarily his range, he used to sing way higher in some earlier songs (let’s bury the hatchet in your head, the greatest story ever told, & people under the stairs are a few examples) but now his tone & power are insane, he’s definitely trained his voice over the last decade
I completely agree. Welcome To Horrorwood was fucking phenomenal, and really established the thesis for the album, as well as being a kickass song to open with. And Farewell ll Flesh is a strong closer and really has a sense of finality to it with how powerfully it pushed throughout and how grandiose it seemed like, to me at least. Overall a great album, 10/10.
Not only are the vocals next-level and the lyrics insane, the nod to Flight of the Bumblebees at 2:41 while screaming "FLY" seriously shows how masterful their attention to detail is here! Truly a cut above the rest!
“How bout a hand for the honey bees?” I can always count on INK to have the most clever and hilarious puns. Still not over “when push comes to shovel” in Funeral Derangements 😂😂
Yeah, it is canonically saying his name five times to summon the Candyman but his name is only said three times in the song. Reason could be one of two things: 1. An intentional nod to the Mandela Effect surrounding the franchise where many people think it's three times instead of five, which I feel is likely folks confusing his summoning ritual for one of his inspirations, Bloody Mary. 2. Even if Candyman only exists in the movies, would you want to risk saying his name five times, even in a banger of a song like this?
Technically... 0:48 it's two melodies, the 2nd harmonizing an octave higher (Candyman is said two times, then) 0:55 the 3rd time. 4:37 another line "I'm the Candyman", with a screaming line beneath Well, "Candyman" is said five times in the whole song!
I'd compare him to Benjamin Burnley from Breaking Benjamin or Shinedown, Benjamin is still the best in my opinion but ICE NINE KILLS is a relatively new band.
Honestly this song feels underrated. It's insane how good this song is. So emotional and fucking epic. This, rainy day, ex-mortis, and a rash decision are probably my favorites but this entire album is absolutely fantastic. Silver scream 1 and 2 are just *chefs kiss*

I’m usually a fan of more heavy stuff from these amazing folks, but this song in my opinion is the best on the album. Vocals are ridiculous and the song from start to finish is a true masterpiece
Best song on the album, hands down. I really love Wurst Vacation as well, but this definitely edges it out. This one’s too perfect. The melody, lyrics, the pacing, and the delicate balance between heavy and melodic. 10/10.
@@BurnoutPJ It’s really tough for me to pick between the two. Wurst Vacation has a lot of what I love in a metal song. I really dig how over-the-top and in your face it is, but it mostly just comes down to my personal preference for songs that build from a softer ballad style into a full blown metal track. Melody is king for me. But yeah, Wurst Vacation is easily my second favorite.
