Let me say that I fully support what Murphy’s Magic is doing with their Apprentice line. They are taking classic magic, which has previously been sold as “cheap toys” to children, and is presenting them as respected magic effects. The Apprentice title is a strong concept - they are teaching basic magical effects, and showmanship, to train the new magician for the world of magic to come! That is apprenticeship!
Love the zig-zag premise, I was fortunate enough to get a hand made zig-zag deck years ago. As far as video vs books... while I have an abundance of videos since the VHS days, my most memorable accomplishment was learning the Faro shuffle from a book
I did love the brick and mortar shops. My favorite was Tannen’s Magic on Broadway in NYC! Those were the days! Another favorite was Tricky Business in Franklin Square, NY, with Mario Gonzales. Good times!
I've always loved the Zig Zag tricks - Rope, Card, Mummy, Soda, Pencil( although the pencil sucks I made my own) and the Jumbo Size Card and this one. It's a wonderful trick - thanks for the review.
