Ask for a burst taper and texturize the top. The best way is to show a picture reference to show them what you really want.

apply a pre styler prior to blowdrying, then scrunch it up as you blow dry

i wouldnt recommend this haircut if your hair is thinning and a receding hairline. Try going for a crop or something that goes forward to cover the lightness on the high hairline
