Sadly I only earn $250 a month so getting a place specifically in BGC will make me end up broke. That's why for most expats who are earning $ for their remote work, this is the go-to location to get a place to stay.
The next big place or metropolis is Clark city. Once the rail line is completed up to the airport that will be a boom town, that is for people who enjoy the American "suburbia" type of development.

There are actually a whole lot more rich Filipinos and expats living in Makati than in BGC. Almost all the high end villages in Metro Manila are in Makati, including North and South Forbes, Dasmarinas, Urdaneta, BelAir, etc., while BGC can only boast of overpriced condominiums. I was just going through youtube clips when I chanced upon your blog, and I'm sad to note that many foreigners talk about BGC as if it was the only game in town so to speak.
bcoz majority of the filipinos they dont preferred to live in condominium. filipinos who has small family with 1 or 2 kids, yah living in condominium is fine most especially if two bedroom condos. but once the kids are about to have independent rooms then living in condominium i must say is not practical. one reason also why filipinos doesn’t want to live in condominium who have kids they prefer to live in a villa or bungalows with front and backyard. bcoz they want their kids to enjoy their childhood playing along with the neighbourhood. im living in barcelona spain now in apartment i see most of the children living in a city doesn’t experience the same what i had experienced when i was a kid..
