Love that EERIE growl beginning at 2:38 and lasting just a few seconds as the engines spool up! I wonder if that noise is coming from the tail mounted engine up top?
I love the video, I love DC-10, it's my favorite airliner of all times, and I really love the professional crew. However, I have a question about altimeter not set to standard even above 15.000 ft. How come? Could it have to do with high altitude takeoff, maybe? Thanks 👍 Edit: Let me answer to my own question 😀 Transition altitude in Boliovia is 18.000 ft. There you go 😉
Hello i am starting to know dc10 in xplane 11 , and all videos may give a best help , if you have a video with process of trootle and see instruments to can do v1 and rotate for can i see this time may be excellent , here can't see because camera is behind a person, ,Grettings for you and have good sky and flies
@@locoHAWAIIANkane It is my opinion that it used to be standard procedure. I would like very much to a DC-10 captain give explanation on this one. I'm just an long time aviation enthusiast 🙂

Should be interesting to know why they don't use the auto-throttles for takeoff. We used them everytime and they perform flawlessly!
TAKING OFF FROM SLLP, HIGH ALTITUDE OPERATIONS IS NOT RECOMMENDED, THEY A RE OVER 13300 FEET ALTITUDE
@@konnarbr There is no limitation of altitude for using the AT on the DC10, but may be this is an airline limitation.
Because they chose to hand fly her.
I do not know the airport codes. Sooooo what country are they departing from?

@2:42, what’s the yellow light indicator that briefly lit up when the f/o throttled up?
TO power was commanded while brakes were engaged so the engines could spool up properly.
