On mine and wife's first date, we literally talked for hours. Then on the way back home, she pointed at a koala bear that I had on the sun visor and I handed it to her. Then the lightbulb went off I said, "That bear is getting more attention than I am..." Then I slipped my hand in hers and that is how we started holding hands. So feeling comfortable w/each other is the start of a great relationship. Lord Willing, we will be married for 39 years in September!

I want to add something to the texting first part. A guy's texting first can be a good sign, but it doesn't mean he's necessarily interested in you for you. Some guys are shallow and will flirt with you over text just for an ego boost. (I think this can work both ways too, though I can only speak from my experience as a girl.) I've learned not to read too much into texts, but it is also important to pay attention to things like consistency and intentionality through all forms of communication when considering whether to date or continue dating.
