    Thx for the good video but why do you reverse the polarity from the steppermotor to the transformer?

    Beautifully done! I have a question, in commercial large Power Plants, which apparatus are used in between connecting the Alternator and the Step Up Transformer, for real?

    +Ludic Sciences .. If you use a 230v50wMotor to exite a generator, is it possible to apply a heavier Generator if you don't generate 24v but instead 6v for more watts?

    You can practically use this setup by powering the motor using a solar cell.

    • @cphVlwYa
      @cphVlwYa 7 років тому

      Well... I wouldn't say practically. It's really inefficient and a proper DC-AC circuit will work much better. But it is still a cool idea.

    • @TechBuild
      @TechBuild 7 років тому

      It can prove useful in an emergency when you have a DC motor, a stepper motor, a battery and a transformer lying around.

    So if I wanted to build a power plant using car alt, motor, and transformer, what size transformer would I need to run a window unit air conditioner? I think the air conditioner is 90 amps..

    GRAVITY GENERATOR :) Parts: One 3000 watt inverter , One back wheel on bicycle , One 12 volt gearbox generator 5 RPM , One 100 foot bicycle chain , A large rock , a rope. Take off spraucket gear on bike wheel and attach it to the gearbox , Attach chain to spraucket gear, attach weight /rock to chain , put in tree 50 ft. up. with rope. wires to generator to inverter 12 volts input. A 2 inch bike spraucket = 10 inches for 5 rpm 12 volt gearbox , 600 inches = one hour = 50 feet up.

  • @Naga46107

    Can motor run with generater output voltage

  • @two_number_nines
    @two_number_nines 7 років тому

    0:55 it would be cheaper and more efficient if the generator itself generated the high voltage by having the proper amount of turns on the coils instead of going trough a transformer

  • @tojoeinstein5558
    @tojoeinstein5558 8 місяців тому +2

    to increase torq. use gear

  • @two_number_nines
    @two_number_nines 7 років тому

    3:40 this feels more like 400 hz so the motors and the transformer have very high hysteresis losses

    When does the hz come into the picture?

    • @dheujsnrhfydhehehshshhdggsd
      @dheujsnrhfydhehehshshhdggsd 7 років тому

      nattsurfaren immediately, the hertz is directly proportional to the rpm. A frequency count is nearly essential in this video.

    • @nattsurfaren
      @nattsurfaren 7 років тому

      Yes that makes sense and with that I'm thinking about the iphone charger. Is it immune to the hertz variation?

    • @dheujsnrhfydhehehshshhdggsd
      @dheujsnrhfydhehehshshhdggsd 7 років тому +1

      It's rectifing the a.c. so it is likely immune. Better for someone who know to explain. If ludic doesn't have a hertz meter, a relevant trick would be hook a small fan up to the mains outlet. Then observe on this contraption.
