I’m currently rereading it along with the entire Astro Boy manga! I love anything Urasawa or Tezuka and Pluto is NO exception. Astro Boy is now available digitally as of October of last year. So now, even though it hasn’t been in print since ‘02, it’s fully readable through easily accessible means. And my god, I’m loving the original source material too.

I confess I loved this show in the 1980’s, if I had a VCR along with the tapes, I would have recorded every episode up to the final Episode in the show. This was the very first Anime I watched in my Childhood, of course I never called it Anime in my Childhood, I called it Saturday morning Cartoons.
I remember even sounds effect, every note, every shot of the intro, hell even the studio sound effect is etched into my brain, thank you Astro boy, always a hero

It's ironic that this is uploaded a day ago and I just literally started watching this Astro Boy series on the Retro Crush TV channel yesterday! This series actually pretty good and it has some catchy theme songs for it's time.

Astro Boy is a huge part of my childhood. It was the very first anime I saw as a kid. Back then, I didn't even know what anime was. He was actually one of my inspirations when I created Reptile-Boy.
I remember when I was 10/11 years old in the children’s hospital for pneumonia. Nurse brought me a TV with a PS2 and all I did for those two weeks is watch Astro Boy and play games. Sucks I had pneumonia but those were the best 2 week of my life ngl

2 years late BUT there has been work for a new astro boy series called "astro boy: reboot"! Its still being worked on though so itll take a bit for it to release(most likely in development hell)

I used to like Mega Man because there wasn't any good AstroBoy games until GBA (the only one).

I have pluto has a opening like this instead of a standard pop song, it would really set the mood. Maybe it could start out like this but get more distorted as the series progreses

A very comfy show. If you love Astro Boy, I HIGHLY recommend Naoki Urasawa's 'Pluto' (manga). I'm finally reading it aaaand I'm addicted to it.
