I don't understand why everyone is saying it doesn't do Metal. I've had 7 different ENGL's and I kept this one because it does Metal amazingly. Had it for 4 years now and the Metal just doesn't stop. Best ENGL as far as I'm concerned. My opinion of course. Great video guys, thanks.
Hey Denis I think its more the other way round! People think they are mostly Metal amps and don't do anything else!

In what order would you rate them and which did u have?
I had Fireball and might buy Artist.
@@ronnymilianowicz5228 Artist Edition - 1, Blackmore - 2, Fireball 100 and 60 - 3, Savage 120 1st Gen - 4, Ironball - 5, Inferno and SE- EL34 will be last cause I hated them both. My opinions only of course. What I can say safely is that I still have and always will keep my Artist Edition because it just so awesome. Cheers man.

I have this amp, it's amazing. Great for metal, like a modded Marshall with a sprinkle of Mesa Mark and a with a little bit of that German hi-fi sound. Don't know why it's not more popular!
I own this thing for 4 years now. Death & Doom Metal. Great for any style that rocks. Love this amp.

This amp is based on the Ritchie Blackmore signature head amp that Engl do.
No bad. I had owned several Engl amps and everything else except high gain didn't sound tasty. I will try it out in thomann.
Yeah man I know what you mean. This amp seems a different kind of beast though. Really enjoyed playing through it. Worth giving it a try when you can 🤘🔥🎸

Thanks guys. Great review. Do Engl make the 50 watt version with the same front cosmetics (black horizontal bars)? Or is it with the grey/silver grille cloth still.
They do make a 50 watt version in Black with Blue light.
I hesitate in purchasing an Engl artist or Friedman Runt 50 artist. Style 70s -> 90s What do you advise me?

I prefer artist edition over fireball. Fireball seemed more compressed and tends to be “metal or clean” thing. The AE is everything in between. Love it
What amp in the ENGL line are closest to this one? Or most similar?
