That was so hilarious. Noxcrew thought this map would make wool-rushing less of a strat and then...more teams used it as a strat than we'd normally see.
I just imagine the Noxcrew looking at each other awkwardly like "Welp. That didn't work."
I mean it wasn't as simple to rush compared to other maps, fruit Went to wool multiple times but only got a few times off of some crazy arrow dodges

This was an interesting battle box map. Players seemed to hate it, but I feel like that might have been because the map forced very different strategies than players are used to. There was a bit of a rock/paper scissors here in terms of strategy. Wool rushing beats passive bow spam, passive bow spam beats aggressive pvp, and aggressive pvp beats wool rushing.
I think the best strategy seemed to be an aggressive push to threaten to take control of the wool, but then react to what the opponent was doing. If the opponent was playing super passively, the best strategy was to try and fill the wool. If the opponent was playing aggressively, the strategy was to only fill in one wool block, then retreat and use the lead to pressure the opponent to take a bad fight. If the opponent gets to the wool before your team, then the goal is to make sure you're close enough to stop them from filling in all the wool, and punish them for gaining the lead, allowing you to win a bad fight later. I think Aqua/Purpled were the first team to really figure this strategy out, then green/Jojo learned from them and copied it but with better overall team pvp skills.
So its an interesting map. I'll trust players who said they didn't like the map, but there was a lot of strategy and quick thinking required on the map, so I enjoyed watching it! I also think that wool rushing would be less effective if they played this map again, and that the reason it was so effective was because players weren't used to being punished so hard for passive play.

Dude, I wish all of the PvP games do punish players for passivity. The bowspam meta (and to some extent, the bridging meta in Sky Battle) exists because of the players' passivity, hence why some maps like old Mesa and Canal 15 ended up being disliked by the community. If the Noxcrew could diminish the amount of arrows in BB and encourage more aggro in all PvP games, then I'm sure we'll have more amazing fights and plays.
I love that both Jojo and Purpled had a moment where they were left in a 1v4, only to bring it back in some way. If only Jojo hadn't run out of arrows against Kara, maybe she could've clutched the wool as well

This was one of my favorite Battle Boxes. I feel as though wooling vs fighting should be a tactical decision and with the increased map size, map control and positioning actually becomes important and it isn't just a PvP clown fiesta.
Few days ago someone told that the queen passed away, but jojosolos still looks just fine to me
This video format is amazing! Very engaging and fun to watch. My only critique is that the use of grammar in the scripts leaves something to be desired.

wool rushing was a horrible idea due to the fact that kills give you more points, i think teams should have done more fighting and less wool rushing.
It's a risk Vs reward scenario. It's safer to ensure the points from wooling, even if it means forfeiting the kills. Hence why better PvP teams concentrate on kills, and less good PvP teams concentrate on wool.
Unless you're Fruit in which case, Get Wool'd!
Not really because 4 kills every round gives 60 for team and winning the round gives 160 for team. Basically 10.666 kills is equal to winning the round with no kills once
