Wow, you have had your fair share of grief on this trip. We were in France some years ago at Dole, when I became ill, We drove the motorhome to the local A and E, at 9am on a Sunday morning, it was deserted , the staff were brilliant, I had an overnight stay in hospital , and the treatment was first class. The following day when discharged, I produced the magic card and all I had to pay for was a prescription for anti biotics which we got from a local pharmacy . We cut short our holiday and returned home . As my wife does not drive the van, the staff moved the van to the staff car park for us , where she stayed overnight. So brilliant service all round . Enjoy the rest of your trip,
What fantastic treatment! Such a good service. Glad you had such a first class hospital. We can't complain either, it was all very straight forward. Thanks for this lovely comment.
You’re coping beautifully well with everything France has thrown at you! The main thing is you’ve had way more positive experiences than negative ones. Keep going you’re doing brilliantly!
You're absolutely right Linda! When we look back at all the places we've been we have to pinch ourselves! Thanks as always for your positive comments ❤️🙏💞
Once again you are dealing well with all your issues. This is a good reminder to many of how important travel health care is. All well in the end and Indie will soon recover. Lucky your eldest son and the fireman were there to take over and help. That park place looked really good. Take care.
Thanks Robert - we've learnt so much about the French health care system since we've been here so hopefully we will have plenty of bits of useful information coming up. And it is a reminder to always have travel insurance! We buy an annual one that renews in June. For the first few weeks of the trip we were covered. Daz was sorting it and realised it had lapsed.... and in that time Indi broke his arm. It could have been a lot worse so we are grateful for that. And now we have cover again 🙃
Sorry to hear this, hope Indy makes a complete recovery, hope life throws you a nice bit of good luck. Keep your chin up - all of you. Rgds Gary and Julie.
Ah bless you all, hope your feeling better Indy. Your so resilient as a family come on guys you can do this😊😊😊 enjoy enjoy enjoy ❤❤❤ Chins up love to you all xxx
Yes thanks Bee. That’s the main thing all ok it wouldn’t be an adventure without a few ups and downs. That little campsite was ideal and thankfully it happened there and not a more remote park up. Daz lit up when he saw that camper accessory place and got that water cap lol 😂 Love the videos and what a lovely family you are 😊
Oh no. Awful to have such bad luck, but you are showing great resilience and the experiences you are giving your children are awesome. Far outweighs the mishaps. Keep going. 🤗👍❤️🚌
You may be having bad luck but you are sorting it out really well. Last year the wife and I were stuck in a village in Spain for 10 days waiting for vehicle parts because we broke down, So these things happen to us all. Bet wishes to your son and hope it all works out guys. 🙂
These things can only go wrong because you are getting the most out of life. A safer option is to stay at home and let adventure pass you by. Where's the fun in that!! Press on 🥰
Hope he is OK little tip for water cap put key on van keys open cap leave key in cap with van keys then you can't drive off and forget it great vid all the best donny
Crikey, what a time, hoping that by now the cast is all gone and things are healing up nicely. Puy du Fou looks fantastic, I've added it to our list, and it's ideally situated near our friends in Angers too. Can't quite remember where you are right now but hope the trip is proving to be great fun, making good memories even if somewhat challenging.
Hi Bee and Daz so sorry to hear about Indie, thankfully there was a hospital near by. So important that global insurance card😊 I do hope the rest of the adventures go smoothly. You always deal with it so well. You will need another holiday after this one to get over it lol 😂 have a glass of vino relax see you next time.
Alk part of the adventures. You may well get a bill for 19Euro when you get back to the UK. This is standard fee for using an A&E in France. Although not sure if it applies to children. We had one for three stitches in a cut finger.
Looks like a greenstick fracture. Happens a lot in children as they are still growing from that area of bone and so the bone is soft as its new and sometimes twists looking like a twisted stick. Poor thing! x
I use a HEOS water filler cap and box of hose connectors when filling with water so the van cap goes into hose connector box until i've finished. My Little brother had a broken arm in the 1970's the second cast was covered in fiberglass as he broke the first. On holiday mum covered it with a bin liner so he could go paddling in the sea. He is still abit of a daredevil.
That's a useful tip! Great story about your brother, sounds like our son! We managed to get a cast cover so he has still been able to throw himself about in the water too! Many thanks for your comment!
wow, you certainly are having a bit of a run if it! take care - maybe slow down a bit? no harm in having a good few days "Holiday" when travelling. We have just come from Camping Du Letty in Benodet - highly recommended for some down time and the peak season finishes on 21/8 so cd be reasonably priced too. x
New subs here! Really enjoying your trip (and also secretly loving that you a as mishap prone as us! We no longer feel so lonely 😂) We visited Puy de Fou many years ago with our 3 boys (all men now) so was wonderful to see it again. Hope the broken arm is all fixed now Best wishes The Reds
Hello! Thanks for joining us and we will take a look at your channel too! It's such a cool place! Glad it's not just us who are mishap prone, we can't get any worse can we? 😂❤️🙏
@@EscapeintheMotorhome our speciality is getting stuck 🙈 It’s all part of the fun though. Watching you go the wrong way up a one way road… we were “yep that’s us” 😂😂
Our daughter got very ill while on holiday in Spain. The A&E people were more interested in our insurance that her. It took an hour of paperwork before they would look at the very ill child. Even then, we had full travel insurance, they got us to sign extra forms that if for any reason there would be a shortfall we would pay. Horrible being in a country where you don't speak the language when you need these services. Hope things improve for you there.
That's absolutely terrible! I'm really sorry to hear you had that awful service. I don't know what the health care system is like in Spain but we were luckily enough to receive excellent service in France. But when a child is ill?! Those are valuable minutes that could make all the difference. Hope all is well now!
The theme park was a great find, we'll be adding that to out itinery. Just so you are aware, UA-cam interrupts your videos with ads every 4 mins or so! Thanks

Ah ok, all very reasonable to be honest. We read that a ride to the hospital with the pompiers was 30 Euros. So we shall see! Thanks for the heads up!
