  • Davidson River Campground is a national forest campground in the Pisgah National Forest. Recreation.gov actually has a lot of information and good pictures of the campsites, but I thought a ride through might still be helpful. It is a campground that I stayed at many times as a youth (a long time ago). I have wanted to return, but was concerned about access with a large fifth wheel, and what used to be very limited power options. It turned out to be very accessible, and we were able to pick a site with power. The only issue we had was water. I failed to notice that we needed to fill our water tank before we pulled into our site. Fortunately, I caught it before we unhitched! We were there in early March

Ever been up to Cherry Hill north of Walhalla? Not much on that campsite from what I've seen. Looking at a May trip

No. My wife is a glamper. She isn’t staying without power. We have enough battery for my necessities, but not her A/C. And I hate camping with the generator! I keep trying to talk her into trying a weekend with no power, but no luck yet.

You are correct. I didn’t realize my mistake. I hope I have corrected it in the title. Thanks for catching the mistake.
