Hi, it is very effective, as I had pain on my back and I had ankle twist on fist day and I am gasping within 10 min of playing on my first day, but after stretching per your instruction, 100% pain-free (back) and no gasping at all and my performance had increased x5 than 1st day and I concentrated more on the game than my gasping, pain etc., my sincere thanks to you bro...
I think static stretchingnis more for the cool down. Dynamic is before the game. I usually start with joints rotation followed by a pulse raiser like light jog then do the dynamic stretchings. I do the static after the game.
THIS VIDEO IS IMPORTANT About a month ago, I twisted my knee at a tournament and got an injury: At the tourney I was really planning ahead my games to make sure when I'm gonna warm up, and be ready. I even talked to the tournament director to confirm and everything. It turns out that the match before mine was cancelled, so my game was pushed up suddenly. I was rushing my warm up so much. Obviously I didn't do a proper warm up and I went into the game with a rushed mentality. I played at 100% from the start, did poor footwork and BAM! Got the injury... Thank you Coach Chandra for making this video :)
Great points Kowi. In Canada where I am from, I have moved towards more dynamic stretching before game/lessons, and leaving the static stretches post-game/lessons. Nice angles on the videos to show clarity - keep the vids coming :).
Great video as always. However I think that static stretching should never be done before exercise since it reduces some of the elasticity of the muscles and can impact your performance for the worse. Dynamic stretching however is great before exercise for warming up.
Great video, manu of us don't warm up before playing and consider a few knocks as enuf warmup....will start this asap.....wts the name of your background music ?
This is excellent, thank you for this as I do strecthces but this system shows me a thourough and routine strech and warm up. You are clear and concise in your instructions and informative. EXCELLENT
Hi KowiMy question is not related to this video.I am very impressed with the footwork exercises and your video shows numbers on the court please can you advise which video is this.thanksKimKAS Badminton UK
My right shoulder sublaxated while playing clusters My left knee dislocated while my intercollege semis All cause i am always in hurry to jump in court Never skip stretching It is very very important One major injury and you are going to limit your game for the next 2 years atleast Play hard play safe 👊🏻
I suggest to not to static stretches as part of your warm up. All the mobility/loosening is fine, but it's not a warm up, it's just part of it. What do you guys think of my warm up routine? ua-cam.com/video/FvoRopMot_s/v-deo.html
I don't think it's correct or proper to do so many static stretches before getting your muscle temperature up first. Best to start with some light dynamic stretches to get the joints moving followed by jogs or exercises to get the muscles warm. Static stretches should come last. An experienced coach should know better.
YOU CANT DO CLOCKWISE with your HEAD!!! This is very dangerous for your neck spine!!! The only exercise like this you can do it's when you put head backward or forward and move it right/left. BUT NEVER CLOCKWISE !!! _____ AND MORE - YOU CANT START WARM UP WITH STRETCHING... What are you even shoving man? Do you really want that people get bad injurys because of you? FIRST YOU WARM UP and AFTER YOU STRETCH !

Very good warm up. Will put into practice as I have just started playing badminton again after 20+ years.
Excellent warm up tips! Many of my middle-aged baddy friends have injured themselves very badly due to lack of proper warm up.
+Ajith Prasad Edassery Please share this video to your friend, to prevent injury :)
Really good these warm-up tips.

As far as injury prevention is concerned, dynamic before and static after is objectively better (statistically results in less injury).
This is very educational. I can see that my warm-up exercise is not enough. I will follow this. Thank you very much.
Excellent all round warm up routine! You can skip the intro and start watching from 2:00 for the exercises.

Is it good to run before stretching ?
Thanks for tips sir.
Nice video. However, dynamic warm-ups are more appropriate before the game; static stretches are more appropriate after the game.

Ok it's better warm up than me😂😂
@KC Badminton I hardly saw any drill for deception. I would love to learn more about this.
That's a lot of stretches to remember. Which ones are the most important?
do we do streaching after small warm up or streach after warm up??
How come you stretching 1st and then warm up?
Arent we supposed to warmup 1st then stretching?
My right shoulder sublaxated while playing clusters
My left knee dislocated while my intercollege semis
All cause i am always in hurry to jump in court
Never skip stretching
It is very very important
One major injury and you are going to limit your game for the next 2 years atleast
Play hard play safe 👊🏻
Nice video but according to WHO Nck Rotation in downwards position can cause cervical
Good video, can you also add warm down routines ?
I think stretching should be done after running and warm up, otherwise there is injury risk if done without warm up.
5:54 is difficult for me.. Can I leave it aside for sometime??
Do reply...🙇🙇
Same 😂

Doctors say we should stretch after the body is warm, so it’s good for warm down
Hi yogesh
I got tired by the time I complete all the warm up exercise, didn't go to play...slept again 😧😧😧
*Occur*
ok..
Don't you have to get warm (jogging) first and after that stretch? My sports teacher told me this.
WauMau00 You should if u learn from couple of courts u don't need to as u feel aldrdy stretched it depends on our own wish or priority
