Caliban was unstoppable before, i always like him, i liked his stomp the way it was, but now ima check out the new rework and see if i like it. I dont like the toggle ability in warframe that much were you press yer ability then hit it or hold it to switch to a sub ability within the ability, makes me loss flow at times. Ty for the vid
Dont need the 3rd set of sombulysts, dont need aggro drawn away at all if you are stomping them and have the tornado spin to heal and gain overshield, since its faster you will be harfer to hit and can spam it when needed. Seems like a redundency but ill check it out and see if im right, however the different summons does allow mkre players flexibility and that is what matters, allowing players to play how they like.
Im goona slap melle retaliation on the melee weapon i equip for him, all that overshield will give at least another 1k to 2k dmg output, maybe lean a little into crit since cali already has so much status output. Im thinking of putting nourish on koumei, my idea is to subsume an ability that will give her gaurnteed status procs, hopefully it will make so she always procs and then run archon mods on her
What I love about Pablo's rework here is that he realised none of the abilities needed fundamentally changing. They just needed some number tweaks and QoL changes to bring them into modern Warframe.

You neglected to mention my favorite part of the new razor gyre which is that when you hit an enemy, it will refund 25% of the energy casted, making it so that if you hit more than 4 enemies, you can actually regain energy, making it good for when you’re low on energy with no other way to guarantee it being regenerated
I’m surprised a lot of the Caliban videos do not mention that despite it being (in my opinion) one of the best part of the ability. (It recharging shield being kinda redundant when your sentient summon are way better at getting shields)
A fellow warhammer 40k fan though caliban feel more like an admech tech priest dominus rather than a nurgle worshipper. They do love some rad bombardment too like fusion strike fallout lol
I played 4 man Caliban with my friends, we also summoned specters. It was so funny seeing all the blue dots on the mini map and some of my friends struggled to figure out what they were shooting at.
the wiki already has info up on the rework, his 1 gets back more energy with less efficiency, makes a blind rage build very viable, just hit 1 reposition and recast skills
I had noticed this once I hit the Simulacrum with him. Did exactly that. Getting around 60 energy per enemy hit on a 37 energy cost ability in steel path makes him go from near tapped out to full. It's great.
Yeah I've never said it so much until now. Glad it's being made fun of because it needs to stop. it ruins the game because DE sees things like koumei, hear she busted from youtubers when she actually bad and then never gets the help she needs.

I think caliban has become one of the most fun frames in the game, not necessarily OP, but how survival he is and how much crowd control he has has made him super fun to play, stomping all enemies in the map to then chain your death beam with your conculyst to debuff and damage everything is so satisfying

As a player of a well forgotten, due to not being meme-worthy frame (valkyr), I'm glad you're getting love. Eventually it'll come around to every outdated frame who needs it.
If you put emerald shards on him for max corrosive you can make it so your guns and melee pretty easily armor strip then subsume off his four and put nourish on and nourish does multiply the energy gains of his 1, so you get max energy with every spin if not ever second spin and viral damage for those stripped enemies
Sounds like he got a great rework without really having to change his kit that much with just a bit of QoL and additional effects to bring them up. From mediocre and hard to get to great with good synergy.

ive been using him for steel path fate dream and its wild just how effective he is even with my extremely unoptimized 0 forma setup. only issue ive been having with him is dealing with toxin but thats easily solved with something like rolling guard or generous usage of his 1. the quad fusion strike with the conculysts is extremely satisfying to just watch whole swarms get melted and everyone's armor vanish instantly
I'm loving Caliban right now. Just for the gimmick of it, I'm creating a Sentient Lord Caliban build (Nautilus Prime with Duplex Bond, that way I can have 7 drones total attacking enemies). It's performing really well. And, the Tau status effects pair VERY nicely with a Verglas Prime Status build.
Concs also deal slash procs on occasion and a single one is capable of soloing a level 50 void angel (with you getting the invul phase ofc) at 200 strength Summs are the most pro-passive gameplay summon, or pro status stacker since the mecha and contagion pet mods spread tau procs as well Chors have a red orb attack with a decent aoe and low damage(6k instead of 32k summ and 225k conc), making them the sort of anti low health horde as well

i like using theorem infection to give my summons extra heat damage, not entirely viable but it gives me a good excuse to use those arcanes using nourish as well gives those summons viral damage
@@pizzabagel also add contagious bond as everything spread by the mark from mecha set is considered per damage which is why my kitcun has heat cause if I heat inherit with kitgun as first heat proc it causes boils and if a mecha set dies it kills stuff in a radius then close contagion. Kills even more
His function on a team is really similar to Dante. He buffs status, helps survivability, distracts enemies and nukes. I would say his survivability buffing is worse and his status buff is worse than Dante’s. But he has other strengths like more crowd control. Super great rework!

Tried Cal in a Survival mission with friends, convinced them to all pick Cal (level 0's), and even then they leveled up so fast we all spammed our minions Pure chaos afterwards

the one reason why you don't play Caliban, he summoned minion that is a enemies type when I see enemies I shoot and ask questions later, so when I see an enemy that is not dying I stop shooting and start asking questions and he has a lot of minions

Funny thing is he wasn't even that bad before the rework He was a little clunkier to play and needed more investment and of course his 1 was utter dog shit but he had all the makings of a decent gun frame

If they are a new frame like Dante or Koumei I will. But a couple or more years old frames I am too stingy to use forma on. . Umbra forma however only goes on Primes no matter what.
bro crack relics for like an hour and you'll have like 10 forma BPs, and some plat leftover to buy forma bundle. he needs like 2 at most, relax. and he definitely doesn't need umbrals.
I'm kinda mad they gave him 4 big damage and removed the vacuum effect. It was fine the way it was before, it was a pretty unique armor stripping ability, there was no need to make it fall in line with the nuke meta. But I gotta admit he's in a much better state now
Im new player and this warframe is huge win , for extraction/wave mission just select 3rd ability (ranged) and then enjoy your coffe and let them grind 😂
My only issue with the rework is that there is no way to increase the duration of the Tau Status. Wish it scaled with ability Duration. Also i can see an easy and fun Augment Mod for his 3. Instead of summoning 3 of each (or the one summoner ...i don't know how to spell them) it would summon one of each. Like One Melee Sentient, One Ranged Sentient and One Summoner Sentient.
I like his rework a lot, but for me he just doesn't do enough damage. Even with high power strength, spamming his ult barely kills fodder enemies in SP. He's basically a lot more enjoyable to play now, but he is still outclassed in every way by other frames.

Yep, I got hate in the chat for using my Umbra in a vault run on Deimos. The Umbra exalted balde works awesome with a mining tool. Can go from mining to slaughter in a split second and back again. So don't have to change weapons and select the mining tool from the item wheel all the time. I also ended up reviving most of the team at least once. So many players rely on streamers to play the game instead of experimenting on their own.

Only thing i dont like is that his stomp is better than Rhinos after this update... a frame's 2 is the 100% upgrade of another frame's 4....meaning they should buff Rhinos 4 but maybe they may touch Rhino up when his anniversary skin come out and im complaining about nothing

it should be noted that sentient wrath alone does not stop enemies from using abilities
like the scorpion grapple or exists abilities

I love calibans design and his new skin. But I have a real problem throwing forma at a non prime frame
If they are a new frame like Dante or Koumei I will. But a couple or more years old frames I am too stingy to use forma on.

I'm kinda mad they gave him 4 big damage and removed the vacuum effect. It was fine the way it was before, it was a pretty unique armor stripping ability, there was no need to make it fall in line with the nuke meta. But I gotta admit he's in a much better state now

Im new player and this warframe is huge win , for extraction/wave mission just select 3rd ability (ranged) and then enjoy your coffe and let them grind 😂

My only issue with the rework is that there is no way to increase the duration of the Tau Status. Wish it scaled with ability Duration.
Also i can see an easy and fun Augment Mod for his 3. Instead of summoning 3 of each (or the one summoner ...i don't know how to spell them) it would summon one of each.
Like One Melee Sentient, One Ranged Sentient and One Summoner Sentient.

I like his rework a lot, but for me he just doesn't do enough damage. Even with high power strength, spamming his ult barely kills fodder enemies in SP.
He's basically a lot more enjoyable to play now, but he is still outclassed in every way by other frames.
What is that head peace he has on top of his caliban it fits his delux so well

Yep, I got hate in the chat for using my Umbra in a vault run on Deimos. The Umbra exalted balde works awesome with a mining tool. Can go from mining to slaughter in a split second and back again. So don't have to change weapons and select the mining tool from the item wheel all the time. I also ended up reviving most of the team at least once. So many players rely on streamers to play the game instead of experimenting on their own.
100% don't take influencers opinions as fact. Its just opinions. Mine included. I really like Caliban now but I'm sure plenty don't.

I know some people have said they use him bc when they summon their necromech umbra will start fighting on his own. Ppl should just play the game how they want and have fun!
Only thing i dont like is that his stomp is better than Rhinos after this update... a frame's 2 is the 100% upgrade of another frame's 4....meaning they should buff Rhinos 4 but maybe they may touch Rhino up when his anniversary skin come out and im complaining about nothing
