- Guaranteed to save your fingernails! And to make disassembly of your Glock much easier!
It is slightly longer than the factory which makes it easier to grasp when removing the slide for dis-assembly and cleaning.
The GlockStore Extended Precision Slide Lock is also machined to be thicker and more robust than the factory part and is guaranteed to deliver better accuracy by letting your barrel and slide settle into battery more consistently, allowing you to be more accurate shot to shot.
We machine this precision part right here in the USA from 416 stainless steel, hardened to 42 Rockwell.
New Glock owner here. I have to say your videos are very knowledgeable and easy to follow.
I have one of these on my duty pistol which is disassembled twice a week for routine cleaning and maintenance. This makes it super fast and easy, but allows it to still fit both my duty holster and concealed holster alike. Can’t go wrong for the price. Mines had thousands of rounds batter it between practice and competition. Still holding up like new.
can never stretch safety enough! 3 min 16 sec of pure safety first before vid
Installing both the extended slide stop take down bar and the extended nub slide release in my 2024 G17C Gen4. Thanks Lenny
Rest in Peace

Way BEST Glock videos on UA-cam or on any media...thanks
Great video. the process was so easy by following you through it.
I only have two Glocks (Gen 3, 17 & 21 CA limited). I just want to say that I really appreciate these videos. I've purchased slide locks and tungstan guide rods for both. Totally awesome!
Easy to follow instructions with detailed explanation, i was able to get it done with minimum effort, thanks!
Why are you Removing the Locking Block and Trigger group?? Maybe just to demo a complete disassembly? The Takedown Tab can be easily removed just by releasing it's spring pressure and it just slides out. All pins removed Left to Right and reinstalled Right to Left. Still a great video.
I was wondering the same thing. I just did my Glock 19 gen 5 today and didn’t have to remove the Locking Block or Slide Stop. The Gen 5 has a spring below the Slide Lock but it’s the same concept.
Great video Lenny, I never did any work on my Glock, but with your training videos, I have now installed the Checkered Mag release, extended slide release, and extended slide lock. I guess that if I couldn't do it that you would do it for no charge. I guess that gave me the confidence to do these installations. Thank You!
thanks for the videos. absolutely fantastic. you take the time to really explain things we might run into. Big fan and the color matched accessories look awesome and function even better.
I had mine in backwards! Thank you Lenny!
This is why I take my time to watch your videos in full. I had no clue there was an orientation to the slide stop. Luckily I have been putting it back correctly lol I guess I must have used all my luck on that one thing
My gold pin kit came in the mail and of course, i brought up this video so i could do it with Lenny! Love the Glock store and all the videos on the parts. Lenny is the Man!
Very easy to follow, helpful even after all these years!
Thanks
Thank you so much for your help was easy to do and did not have to pay for someone to do it for me
Why do i keep expecting to hear him say "And we'll leave the light on for ya"...
I bought one of these a couple weeks ago and I found the edges vary sharp, had to take fine sandpaper to cut the edges down. And reinstall.
I never had any problems with my silver or black; gen 4 slide lock. I have large hands & I'm not Mr 💪🏼. The extended slide locks help a lot...
I can't wait to do the Tennessee "Trifecta" Glock store,Buds Guns,Bass pro!!
Thank you for the detailed “how to’s”
I'm a truck driver when they first put me in a automatic transmission truck I found myself trying to step on the nonexistent clutch pedal when stopping. I can see how someone would subconsciously install the loaded mag and have a negligence discord.
Thanks Lenny, awesome and educational video.
I'm perplexed, how exactly does a slide lock improve accuracy?
This video will explain it quite well

Cat ROFL
@Lucky 4 Nothing The only dumb thing about Lenny is how he touts guns you can't buy in his store in San Diego because of the tyrant Communists that run the State.
I agree that sounds somewhat strange, but I don't care. The improvement in ability to manipulate the slide lock is worth twice the price. The stock lock is nearly useless and extremely frustrating. So Cat's response was definitely funny, but kinda fails on the value reference.
He explains it in the video. The slide lock affects the barrel. The factory slide lock is stamped, versus his, which is machined, making it inherently flatter. The flatter the slide lock, the less it affects the barrel after each shot.
Very informative and to the point. Well done.
I love the extended slide lock, I do. But I found that with my Incog G-Code holster, it depresses the slide lock. When I pulled out my firearm at the range, the whole slide fell off to my embarrassment. Great product, but you definitely need the right holster.
Lenny, I really enjoy your videos. You're concise and clear in you explanations. I use them all of the time and they have never failed to answer my questions. I just installed the stainless steel precision slide lock in my 19 for exactly the reasons you gave. I just have a heck a time with the stock slide being too short.
Hey Honey can you come and play with this😆, Honey: " play with it yourself, I've got a headache! "
It would help to see everything if your videos were in 1080p, and I for one would really appreciate if you could start using the 1080p resolution. Subscribed.
Check the edges on the take down lever, I received the kit, the take down lever edge was painfully sharp, I would just sand them down but I ordered the red color which that option was out. Looks like the parts are panted which gives it a cheap look.
bought the silver kit the slide stop ended up scratching the polymer kinda sucks because this is a brand new glock thats not even a day old yet
Lol got a email about these and then magically somehow a video also
I love my G26, But I'm not even gone flex to you. That damn trigger pin will bring out anger issues that you didn't even know you had.
I didn't need to take out the pins. Just depressed the leaf spring and the slide lock can be worked out. Much faster.
I need a gen 5 tutorial for this!
Follow these steps and skip “removing the second pin and the slide stop lever”. I didn’t have to remove the slide stop lever to access the spring to remove the slide lock.
For you newbies save the work of complete disassembly this can be done without removing locking block.
Exactly! Many reputable videos out there on replacement without all this fuss.
Using Larry's product too.
I'd suggest a GS Glock slide lock(extended) for any new carry, duty, range model. I put GS parts on my Glock 21 gen 4, Glock 20 gen 4 10mm.
How come the Gen5 one you sell is like this older one in the video instead of like the updated Gen5 shape? The Gen5 slide lock is slightly rounded and the top section goes up and then in. Totally different shape.
Improves accuracy lmfao
Lenny Red Pilling The USA!
I love how this is only from 2019 and looks like its from the 90s or even 80s lol
Remember to clear the gun and engage the trigger before trying to take the slide off
You should produce od green and coyote brown parts as well.
For real though This might not seem like an upgrade, but if you take your gun down a lot then this is for you. A real finger pain cure.
thank you
The notch is smaller so it doesn’t seat right on the spring is it supposed to be like that
I've got two of these from you and each one is making my recoil spring stick out almost as far as my barrel the first time I took it to a gunsmith same results the second time I did it myself and got the same results not sure if it's the paint or because it's thicker but it's definitely not working good on my Glock 27 Gen 4 I'll guess I'll have to shoot it and see if the recalls bring functions like it's supposed to before I carry it for carry and conceal
Just need a small punch push spring down slide that lock out just reverse putting new one in
Lenny provides great armory training. Watch his stuff and it's better than the Glock Armory class.
There are many respectable videos showing replacement with the longer slide lock for ease of use.
None remove any pins etc
Merely remove slide depress that slide lock spring slide out old slide
Slide in new one I don't understand the extent which Larry goes through with this replacement
Larry could have sold cars, vacuum cleaners, maybe irons, OR ice to an Eskimo... Either way, he ended up selling Glock gun parts.... Right On 👍🤣😊
Went to order one but shipping was $6 for this little thing. Jacked up total price of order by 50% so I abandoned cart. Original ship estimate was 99 cents which was fine but on checkout it jacked up. Looks cool. Will wait for free ship or 99 cent shipping promo. This thing should cost a dollar to ship. Could put it in an envelope and mail usps for a stamp.
That sucks. I don't mean to add salt to the wound, but I'm thankful I'm close to the retail store.
@@jimrustle643 I'd pay 6$ for shipping. Living close to the retail store means you are to close too Ca.😀
🗽🇺🇸
He's got no control over how much it costs to mail something.
Checkout NDZ performance, their locking blocks are far superior to GS, i ordered a slide cover and it looked like a 3rd grader made it, my NDZ fit perfect.
Lenny ! - is one of a few to make it a point to address the 'way' the Glock pistol 'Slide Lock' is inserted into the Glock frame? Is the 'slide lock' inserted so the *smooth side of the 'slide lock' faces the front of the pistol; or does the smooth side of the 'slide lock' face the rear of the pistol..? Lenny knows !
note: (it's easier for me to reference the "smoooth side" of the Glock 'Slide Lock')
I have a question about the Glock 19 Gen 3 and Gen 5 'slide lock lever'. Are they identical except for the notch in the bottom?
OEM is fine, but the extended version is easier on the fingers/nails.
It does seem too tighten up the barrel lockup & definitely makes disassembly easier.
METALLIC PIN & EXTENDED CONTROL KIT FOR GEN 5 GLOCKS y’all don’t have any in stock?
Is this same for gen 5? I want to buy the extended parts kit but there isn’t a video for all the parts for gen 5.
Nope, Gen 5 is different.
Hey Lenny are these avalibale for the glock 36?
why every time I go on you guys website everything out of stock for GL19 gen 5
Just installed one. It chews up the right side of my left thumb. I have an acceletator cut as well. I'll have to smooth out a corner with a file.
Good day Lenny, do you have a website?
California with thoes 10 round mags 🥺😤
Got my full cap during freedom week Apr. 1st through 5! 5x 17roud mags and a 33 round just for fun.
I did this without taking the spring put i just compressed it slid out the lock and slide in the new 1. Is that another way ?
Bought one for my Glock 27. Still not big enough.
Where’s a link?!?
Much cheaper options out there that works just as well if not better
Are the extended control kits available for the Glock 36 gen 4? I have seen them o the site in different colors but not for the G 36
A ridiculous long way to do it,takes 20 seconds,no pin removal, watch the brownell video! It works
What kind of Glock is that
Will This Work On A G26 gen 5 ???
Y no shiny red
Is the red metallic or cerakote?
So, you definitely don't want the squared edge ones like this. They make extended versions that have an angle. Making it much easier to manipulate. Plus it makes it much better to look at. These are not ergonomic at all.
How do I install this for a 43x? Can someone please help me
Bought this in gen 5 and it was not gen 5. False advertising. I had heard some were marketing their gen 1-4 as gen 5s but thought it was all talk. Nope it was glock store.
Oh my gosh....what a good idea....so I immediately opened my safe and took all my ammo out and put it in my truck and drove around the block and walked back to my house and then changed the slide.....whew....no wonder I have shot myself twice in the past...I had no control with a bullet sitting in the dining room table and put it in and dang if I shot my weenie off....
Why not the factory just made it longer
"a shift stick is so automatic"
.. .AUSGEZEICHNET!!!!
15:25 three hand job bring your wife in funny 15:50 just have your wife play with this.
“It’s very easy to load the magazine, rack the slide, and pull the trigger” 🤔 If a person can’t be next to a magazine while working on a gun for that reason, it would be the same while they’re not working on the gun and shouldn’t own said gun 😂
The promo code is not working??😩
Yup Promo code doesn't work
Tried buying the bundle for a gen 5
None of the promo codes ever work lol
What promo code?
Yes Lenny, it's very easy to put in a loaded magazine, so here's a tip: Don't do that. Bullets don't just grow legs and jump into your pistol, and if you see them doing that you have been drinking too much. Safety is a good thing, but as the over reaction to the recent pandemic shows, too much of a good thing can be a real pain. That said, don't clean or work on a loaded gun. That's all. It only takes a second to check. That should be enough. Also, don't run with scissors. Mom taught me that one.
You've never heard of the ammo fairy 🧚♂️
@@Lee-fi4vo LOL 😂
Lenny must love hearing his own voice....this video could have been under 10 min including the gun safety lessons if it was straight to the point.
We really need all the fluff talk? This video could be half what it is
Lol, it's not my finger nails it's author in my hands. Hopefully he'll get tired of my hands and go visit someone else for a while.
I just bought my first Glock. Gen 5 20. Will never buy a Glock again. How the F do people buy these peices of crap??!! Take it apart… it feels like it’s made of toilet paper!!!
this method of a takedown lever is honestly garbage and it's what i hate the most about my glock. my other firearm has a much better system for takedown. and why does glock keep releasing parts to fix problems instaed of just fixing the problem and selling a better firearm.
You’re too Hollywood. You could cut your vids in half if you didn’t like looking at yourself and hearing you own voice so much. 10 minutes could get you more views. Shit the Glock armorers class shouldn’t take as long as your vids
Is it just me or is there an uncomfortable amount of innuendo in this video? 🤔
At 3:48, Lenny the Glock pro and owner of Glock Shop says "It's a Slide Lock, not a Slide Stop". No Lenny, what I was taught in Glock Armorer school years ago was it's a Slide Lock, Slide Stop or a Slide Catch... it's NOT a Slide Release and you NEVER use it to release your slide. If Glock changed the terminology, then my bad, but I don't think they have. Go back to selling used cars. I think I commented on this when you released it a couple of years ago but alas, you' still never changed it and are still screwing up the terminology and teaching people wrong. Teach them right or don't teach it at all.
Bla,bla,bla,bla,bla
Yak yak yak yak...put a cork in it, Lenny!
