Train Action in Orlando: Sunrail Commuter Rail

- This video is a look at Orlando, Florida's Sunrail commuter rail line. This video was taken during Friday rush hour. The trains run north to south from Debary to Sand Lake Road. Future expansions include trains to Deland, Poinciana, and Orlando International Airport.
Stations featured are LYNX Central Station, Church Street, and Sand Lake Road.
That's my local train, I feel like jumping out of my screen and getting on to it!
Agreed, its an excellent form of transportation, its very nice and for me its nostalgic, I remember in 2015 when it first opened up I rode it for the first time, I was only 8 at the time.

Hard to believe those were originally built as GP40 freight locomotives
I just seen 4 people trying to beat the train that's how accidents happen and people get sent to the m e office
It would be nice to expand the service to Tampa.

Love trains, glad private enterprise is taking a crack at it...but is anyone riding these trains ? I hope they (Sunrail) makes it ! I hope they can get the line up from Tampa to Orlando sooner than later.
Virgin Trains USA (formerly Brightline) is building and running the Orlando-Tampa-Miami service while Sunrail is the Orlando region commuter rail with its own expansions in the works. I know Sunrail hasn't had the best ridership, but if they ran trains more frequently, add weekend service, and expand to places like Disney it could do better.

Yeah, ridership levels don't warrant using more than 3 cars max.

Disk brakes should be more prominent on trains in general
It makes getting to Orlando way easier, however it turned Lake Mary into a shit hole.

They are a p3, just that all of them are so fouled. Some don’t even sound like a horn

@@coasternamegenerator5611 nooo idea, probably their location, which is under the spoiler, has a factor, as the train might kick dust into the bells, which might foul it.
I wonder if this commuter is even breaking even, given the lack of riders. In many cities commuters are giant money pits.

Crazy to look at europe and east asia, and compare them to the network in the most powerful country in the world. Look im not some car hater but don’t yall want even a little bit of rail?
Things are slowly changing in the US in regards to rail. High speed rail between LA and Las Vegas is under construction and many states are planning new Amtrak routes.
Good vid, don’t know why but the design of those locomotives just bother me, anyone feel that it’s just aesthetically a failure?

They are rebuilt GP40WH-2's from Marc called MP36PH-Q. They are not the best looking.
