Quite possibly the most influential person in my life that I’ve never met. A true legend in his own time. Dragon Ball, Dr. Slump, Dragon Quest, Chrono Trigger, Tobal, Blue Dragon, just so much. It’s a loss to manga, anime, games, art in general. An enormous loss. He had the touch. An indescribable, incomparable thing, unique to him. Perhaps not without flaw or shortcoming, but uniquely him. There isn’t a single person who watches anime who hasn’t felt his influence. We lost a legend, and gained a myth.

But Toriyama paved the way for a whole generation of Shonen Manga and beyond, and fathered a generation. And the most amazing part was that he never intended to, he just liked drawing funny monkey kid doing crazy shit. Yet his art and ideas are so unique you can recognize his work without ever looking at who drew it. We all owe Toriyama for our childhood ❤️
We sure do@@MikeGames_YT
I'm happy I grew up with classic anime like dragon ball and one piece, so much better than what kids are growing up with nowadays
Say not in grief "He's no more". But live in thankfulness that he was.
Thank you Akira Toriyama for your making my childhood alot cooler.
Love from a used to be little boy, now daddy of two from Singapore
Us in the Philippines🇵🇭 will always remember his filipino dub actor saying this line during every post credit scene daily
"Oh mga bata, hanggang sa muli nating pagkikita, paalam"
Rest in paradise Akira Toriyama
Yeah man
Tuwing hapon hajaaha

Can never forget the childhood memories i built watching my favourite show Dragon ball.
Thank you toriyama sensei.
Om Shanti 🕉️🙏
I wish the dragon ball were real I would wish him back😭
Respectfully boy, you _know_ Shenron would look at you like "Ok, look, I respect the intent, but i *_CAN'T_* , it's outside my power... Trust me, I miss him too but, I'm sorry.."
I'm sure he's running Snake Way. RIP King.
It is said that the brightest gems turn the darkest
And the brightest star fade the fastest
But not Akira. He will forever be remembered and his legacy will be carried on. By everyone. He built the Shounen genre himself and without him and dragon ball. It wouldn't had been the same.
Thank you Toriyama-sensei. For everything.
He will forever remain as the King of anime
Rest in peace Toriyama 😔
