I used to work on the originals when they were new and I can tell you that version is the only way i would want to drive it everyday. Nicely modernized!
I believe this car is the car that was partially built by my late friend Ted Lathorp from Michigan. He did a lot of V8 conversions and that was most likely a GT40 ford motor. He was getting a great deal on brand new crate motors and put one in this car for a friend from Tennessee that used to own a auto wiring business. Ted asked me to bring my GT over so they could see how an original GT had the rear interior put together. It's the most awesome build that I've ever seen. BTW, Ted started Fast cars and built the front suspension. A friend of his still builds the suspensions as far as I know.
@@WVDEvideo I know Terry and hit racing brother Bob. I met them both through Ted. Both Terry and Ted lived within a couple of miles away from me. I spent a lot of time in Teds shop and saw a lot of great builds there.
Mr. Masters did an awesome job on this car (have seen several build videos), was the inspiration for my 1964 MGB Hot Rod (custom full chassis & suspension, SBC(400hp), 4-speed, 8.8Ford rear, 4 wheel discs). Mine will never be as finished as this one but it's big fun. (1964 SBC MGB refresh on yt)
Beautiful machine. I love, especially, the painted metal dash, a 1950s feature that was halted by safety legislation. However, it must have been a wrench to ditch the original black crackle-finish dash, one of the best-looking ever fitted to a British sports car.
Not better than the vk engines because those come supercharged on a lot of models and weigh less than 1UZ The 1UZ is a great motor, that was designed in the 80s 😂
I think this is a very tastefully modified MG. I love the original cars but the engines are not reliable. This car is a daily driver and with some modern refinements. I like it a lot.

True. I think Dan told me the crate motor has bigger displacement than a stock 302. Terry Senneker took over Fast Cars

@@bborr01 there are a lot of inaccuracies in that video

The wiring in that car isn't from Painless, it's from Advance Auto Wire. Excellent product.
A V8 MGB GT for under $5K ?! "The Widest V8 MGB GT In The World" right here on YT ! No lie !

I'm came here to listen to a Ford V8 in an MGB. Too bad you didn't share the sound of the car. :-(
My choice is a Lexus 4L 1UZ-FE VVTi which is already in my 1964 MGB roadster. That's the ultimate engine for the MGB
Any details regarding your MGB conversion with the Lexus engine?
Jesus that must go, that’s my dream engine swap ngl🔥
In your opinion...

Who on earth thinks two old men talking is more interesting than hearing the growl of that engine? I'll tell you, no-one.
I like the Harley mirrors! Nice car!
Sweeet M.G.
I love mine,even if they are stock 4 bangers, 4 speed with o.d. ✌
Very nice.
This car is crazy cool! NEVER... EVER... change a thing!
Superb
Nice

I love that it doesn't have white wall tyres but loosing mgb badge is shame
Looks like an old 90's resto.
Well a straight answer would be no , its powered by ford instead of v8 rover unit
Only problem with that car, ITS NOT MINE.!! Been a lot of years since I had my last MGB. That one would bring me back to the fold. lol.
Harley Davidson rear view mirrors
Idk man my gt has been more reliable than both my Subaru Impreza and my focus rs so can’t be that unreliable 🤷🏻♂️😂
