Compared to the vintage juice this one is pale. Still it is a very nice perfume, happy and classy. I wish instead of innumerable flankers of J' adore and Miss Dior, Dior decided to re-launch Dolce Vita, as it smelled back in the 90s, 00s. That would be a true revolution in perfumery, real splendor for the house. Nobody does perfumes like in those times, but all perfume lovers crave for it.

I had no idea Dolce Vita was considered a flop. Worldwide I had no clue of course, but in France this was a massive success, you smelt it everywhere, it was as popular as L'Eau D'Issey, Gaultier & Angel.
I loved Dolce Vita when it first came out. Excited to see it and need to get a sniff of this again to see how it compares to the original! Seems like all scents back then lasted so long. Maybe it is just my older drier skin.
It’s adorable that you use the clicky color pen, sooo desired in our generation as kids, made me smile. This perfume…I bought a year ago looking for something special. So much lemon! I think maybe for me needs layered with a different fruit or vanilla ….its just not right for me on its own. I get zero spice btw.
Beautiful and useful review. You shoud try the vintage version, until 2010. It s other story... From the actual formula they removed notes, the fragrance has some gaps in it, it is plane, without deep and coplexity. Also the longevity has been affected.
Oh Dolce Vita! Sometimes when i smell the trail of it I get … Coca Cola ….mmmm isn’t it the ultimate nostalgic scent? I don’t own a bottle , but it’s somewhere there on my list of fragrances I would like to own that I remember vividly from my childhood.
I perceive both scents similarly to you. FdB woodier, darker, spicier. DV more fruity, sunny, light :) I think the post-formulation version is not so bad as people say ;)
