The thumbnail shot dragged me in. I owned a 250 Parilla Wildcat in 1961. Ran some local scrambles and short track with it. I wasn't all that great, but the bike was very speedy for its day.
Very cool, thanks. That was one of my favorites at the swap meet. I love the look of the engine. Unfortunately they couldn’t get it started while we were there.
Yes, the Parilla Wildcat 250s were about as speedy as a 250 could be. I raced a 200 Wildcat for a dealer when I moved to N.Y. in the early '60s, took many first place finishes on it when up against cubs and the occasional CZ 250s. The Grand Sport road racers were fast too. The classic pin striping on the fuel tanks was such a sign of class, to me anyway.
I have tears in my eyes, no swap meets in my region this year. But really cool stuf there, hope there was something for you as well. Thanks for shareing!
Two of my top 10 bikes I’d like to own were there - Ariel Square 4 & Harley XLCR cafe racer. Some of the “seats” on the Harley chops looked a bit hard on the posterior! 🇬🇧🏍
Did you find any Manxman bits, bet they weren’t in the bargain bucket 😀 Nice trident and a squariel, felt my wallet squirming 😂 Have a good one Mike ☕️
Painstakingly High Quality 4k Mike! Enough to allow a viewer to choose the speed of play in which to study the many parts, rides, & brief comments exchanged.
Thanks for sharing Mike, my favourites, the two Honda's, the Tiger Cub sports & had to be the Parilla, like you I think that engine so smart .. 👍 atvb t ..
Thanks for sharing, Mike. So many cool bikes. Quite a few that need to find their forever homes and get some TLC. You could do a montage of the old beat up bikes with that Sara Mclanahan song playing over it..like the ASPCA commercial. That Ariel Square Four at the beginning was really nice. That's one of the prettiest engines every made.
You guys missed even more cool stuff Saturday, I bought the crusty Triumph, it's matching #s 67 Bonnie, viable restoration project. Also picked up a feather bed and cafe parts. Cars and coffee as some cool 4 wheelers showed up. * Usually there is a car show as well, there was stock car racing Saturday night.
My gosh Mike! I think it's worth moving to Oregon from California just specifically for the pickings at those swap meets! Oh man so cool!!!! I'm in Orange County California and I don't see swap meets like this out here, how often do swap meets like that pop up in Oregon?
Hi, this is an annual event. I’m embarrassed to say it’s the first time I’ve been and it’s been running for I think 39 years! This was just day one. Unfortunately I couldn’t go back on day two which I heard was also just as good if not better. You’ll have to come up next year!
@@TheMightyGarage my brother Mike! I would absolutely love to! hopefully sometime in the near future, I would feel like a kid at Disneyland with all of those awesome barn finds and relics everywhere! I pray to God it keeps going on for another 39-plus years
This event is in Tenino, WA. Just south of Olympia. There were a few people up from CA, according to a friend who was there. I went three years ago, and there was a group up from the LA area. Unfortunately, they were buying from sellers, then reselling at their booth. Bad form!
The sight of a running/riding "Squareriel" reminds me of the process by which top business and engineering firms eventually fail. And how sad it is the the firm's owners are unaware of this failure process.
@@TheMightyGarage that's my buddy Gary Valquist with the Sq4 & Matchless bikes. That front wheel sold for $3200 btw. A lot of $$ changed hands over the weekend
Unfortunately I only bought a couple of little things, some workshop manuals and couple of little trinkets including a spare choke lever for the Commando.
@@TheMightyGarage That's great! I promise it won't be 104F this year, there will be a touch of fall in the air, probably no higher than 99F (j/k). Check your email for more information......
Always the 3rd weekend of August, follows Sturgis as members usually attend both. Next year will be the 42nd year. This is my favorite event of the year and so fun & laid back. Its not just a swap meet, But bike show, Vintage ride, and the Tenino stunt and drill team performed on vintage bikes. Dont miss it!

Some nice treasures there. I liked that little Parilla.
What a perfect way to start my day. Having breakfast and watching this. Thanks for posting.
I was invited to head down, but unfortunately I had to miss it. Always a fun swap meet.
That XLCR Harley Davidson looked kind of tasty! Thanks Mike
I live 15 miles from Tenino and was not even aware this event existed. Will be looking for it next year.
What a cool swap meet !
Money is burning a hole in my pocket.
Thanks mike

Really cool bikes!! Thank you from Hungary!!
Some really cool bikes!
Excellent photography. We could actually have some time to look at the bikes and some details. Ronn

Some bargains to be had I'm sure.

Hello Mike did i see a Honda CB72 i had one of them back in the early 70s 😜👍
Me too it was a 1965 model
Thanks for sharing Mike, my favourites, the two Honda's, the Tiger Cub sports & had to be the Parilla, like you I think that engine so smart .. 👍

Wow! Not sure about the bags on that Squariel though!

🤣🤣 that was really funny Dave. Yes, there were some really cool bikes looking for a forever home 😉
Wonderful! No swap meets in Northern Germany this year, I really do miss them a lot!

Did you buy anything? I could have spent a few pounds. Lenny from Leicestershire, UK
Hi Lenny, I didn’t buy much. I just got a couple of workshop manuals and choke lever for the Commando.

That was a really great bike. It sounded really sweet.

Nice! Thank you so much, for NOT having some stupid loopy music
Hehe, you're welcome. Yes, I do prefer to just hear the background sound of what's gong on in these types of videos. Thanks Steve.
Top editing of extreme bike porn! Reminded me why Mrs Northland Rider doesn't like me going to swap meets with cash, and without her. 🤣 Subscribed.
😉😉 Thanks a lot for subscribing! Hope you will enjoy the channel. Best wishes, Mike
Terrific event. More Tiger Cubs! I am a little surprised that so many of those small bikes made it to the US. What did you end up buying?
Unfortunately I only bought a couple of little things, some workshop manuals and couple of little trinkets including a spare choke lever for the Commando.
Fantastic video, love this old stuff!! Hopefully you attended Saturday too and there will be a 6 hour video of that. Will you be at Barber this year??
Hi, yes, cannot wait for Barber. We are all booked and ready to go. Hopefully nothing will be canceled. It should be so much fun!

Heck yea 🖖🏼🏍🏍🏍🏍🏍🍺👍🏼😎
When is next year's.event?
I'd check with the website that's in the description. They have been holding it for about 39 years so I think it will probably be around the same time
