Great work as always Dean, my vote goes to list 2 because of 2 main reasons: 1. Taking all the best datasheets with no filler 2. MSU/multiple small units allows full manipulation of the current Pile In/Consolidate rules, which are needlessly complex, but also key to winning games (on the technical level)
The bloodletter skulltaker list gets my vote. The LOS list just isn't a sensible choice on the terrain pack. Unfortunately, this just has to remove it as an option, no matter how much we love the model. The crusher list would be awesome but again the terrain prevents them being utilised to full effect. I think the fun with bringing daemons is that most folks won't know what to do with it in terms of threat priority, particularly in the hands of someone at your skill level.
I really like the KLoS list becuase I have been trying to make mine work. I love the idea of just putting it in reserves and walking it on the board turn 2. I never think about that kind of stuff lol
Your Lord of Skulls list is very similar to my LOS list. After having played a few GW Tournament Layouts with my CSM, I believe if it's fixed terrain, the LOS is 5" at it's widest width, and would have a tough time in "fixed" terrain. The layouts are so CQB city block it's impairing to shooting Vehicle units. But as I've learned, LVO is using "Player Placed". In that environment, I believe the LOS has a much better chance. At least your half of player placement would ensure a flexible zone for the LOS to come out of Reserve and be awesome. And your opponent generally isn't thinking about making terrain impairing towards an LOS.
I think I'd go for #2... Not that I'm any kind of expert or anything, but I feel like it generally fits the way 10th plays/scores and seems like it would be fun to play too.
I feel like list two. Yes, daemons are cool, but they seem too clever and yes they get no buffs from the index and those blood crushers can’t run through walls…
I am quite new to WH40K, starting to play at the start of 10ed, so i am not really experienced. But i do play a lot and participate in local tournaments. And from my perspective either 1st or 3d list are the strongest.2nd one leaning too much on eightbound, and this is a problem, opponents which have a lot of d3 attacks will destroy them and most of their attacks are d2 which is also a problem, any 3w models will be a pain in the ass as well as any -damage rules, like C'tan chards or Deathwing Knights. And I am not sold on demonic allies either. For me, the main turning point is lack of their interactions with faction rule and detachment strats. But maybe I do not fear CSM enough to value their counters, in my local meta they are unpopular. Great vid by the way, I will try some of this lists myself! Blod for the Blood God!
These are some awesome lists. Personally your second list with the MSU is how i personally was imagining how a cutthroat world eaters list would look. That being said after i saw your fifth list and listening to your anti-meta reasoning. i just can’t help but be in love with the blood crushers idea. I say go with the fifth list. it seems like the coolest and most unique. Love the videos man.
List one with the two MoE is something I've been trying to work out. That's very appealing and I'll try that one soon. The last list with the bloodcrushers is also really interesting, I've played against Khorne Demons using those and the bloodcrushers were effective.
I think i like idea of list 5, the added daemon aspect can surprise a lot of players. Do have one question though have you ever considered hell brutes? Shoot back and stuff trying to build a list with what i have
I would stay with ur first list. it seems the most balanced list. Worked easier over the rounds. And if you already played them mostly then I would take this experience into the tournament.
I'm a bit biased. I want you to run the Eightbound list because that would make the most awesome game if we draw each other at Uprising, but as a fellow WE I wouldnt want to come up against Double Moe tbh
i will go with 1 or that with LoS where aggressive Angron is more like a sponge taking all attacks from the table, what about Landrider with some heavyhitters inside or two Forgefiends, maybe Hellbrutes?
Angron Lord Invocatus + 6 Eight Bound Daemon Prince Helm of Brazen Daemon Prince Favor of Khorne MoE Berserkers Glaive + 10 Berk x2 5 man Berserkers x2 Jackhal Rhino Daemon Princes giving 4+ Inv to everyone is crazy good. FNP & extra movement if your going second. Advance and Charge + 2" Movement if you go first.
Hey there, loved the video ! Say, I was wondering if you had any advice as to how the world eaters army is supposed to be played (for a beginner like me)? How should I play angron on the table top, the eightbounds and exalted eightbounds, the berzerkers, the jakhals, all the HQ? And what are their synergy? Thanks a lot !
What happened to the list that takes 2 Lord of Skulls? Put Skullhurlers and Gorestorm cannons on each for 3 wound weapons and you just delete 3 wound models with relative ease. I have a big tourney near me in the UK - Beachhead. I am thinking of Angron and x2 LoS as part of the list.
KLoS list for me. Honestly I think the Lord has such a community heritage as a meme unit that we subconsciously struggle to consider it strong in the meta - which it is. Failing that - the Eightbound list (albeit maybe with a 6+3 rather than 3+3+3).
List 5 is what I picture a Khorne army looks like. Angry marines and angry demons charging the enemy. Just by rule of cool I'd say go with that. Khorne will be pleased.
I played 4 games with the lord of skulls so far. He does the damage to get angron back. But the anti tank of tau and space marines made it a bit harder to deal with. What would you do against that?
List #4 doesn't work after update. For daemon allies, can't have more non-battleline units than number of battleline units, unless you can switch out for another battleline unit. Doing some math Tetris to get #4 to work.
I really like list"4". I think the Bloodletter unit will not be properly respected. Similarly, no one is practiced about daemons right now. Good luck at your event!
Yes I think it can, but it looks very different. Berzerkers and regular eightbound kinda need angron to do reliable damage. Exalted are OK without him. You also need heavy damage dealer's so probably Maulerfiends or defilers
I did a series if videos a while back about a double LoS list after doing quire well with them at a few GTs. Problem is terrain, if it is too dense it really fucks you

I tend to agree

Terrain can play such a huge role
Would love to see the 2 demon lists.
But with to dense terrain the bloodcrushers will have a hard time.
Best of luck from Denmark
Thanks mate
#2 is the better list competitively but #5 is a list i might build. looks fun
Weighing up cool and fun vs strong is always hard
Lucky for us we're enjoyers of a strong army thats also fun to play ;)@@BlogForTheBloodGod
I really like the KLoS list becuase I have been trying to make mine work. I love the idea of just putting it in reserves and walking it on the board turn 2. I never think about that kind of stuff lol
IMHO it is the only way to roll
Will the thing fit wholly within 6" of the battle edge?

Yeah it's a shame how vulnerable terrain makes them

List two is proving quite popular

It's certainly unique, however maybe that is a sign that it is not good lol
there is always tired and true list 1. @@BlogForTheBloodGod 🤣

Juggers absolutely slap, but is it too many eggs in one basket?
@@BlogForTheBloodGod I really can't say... the demons not gaining the detachment rules has always been a no-go on competitive games for me.
Love the Bloodletters tech. Just my playstyle - so use them!!
Glass cannons

Yeah they are interesting..... not sold tho

Yeah I ultimately went with the philosophy of "if it ain't broke"
I'm a bit biased. I want you to run the Eightbound list because that would make the most awesome game if we draw each other at Uprising, but as a fellow WE I wouldnt want to come up against Double Moe tbh
Hahaha yeah double MoE is so fucking good in the mirror
@@BlogForTheBloodGod What list did you go with in the end Mate?
Wondering on your thoughts towards war dogs. Was expecting to see at least one make an appearance. Best of luck my man!
I think pure world Eaters just do it better, hell I'd take a defiler over a wardog at this rate
Great vid! Can’t wait to hear your tournament report
Thanks mate! I'll keep you posted
i will go with 1 or that with LoS where aggressive Angron is more like a sponge taking all attacks from the table, what about Landrider with some heavyhitters inside or two Forgefiends, maybe Hellbrutes?
Angron
Lord Invocatus + 6 Eight Bound
Daemon Prince Helm of Brazen
Daemon Prince Favor of Khorne
MoE Berserkers Glaive + 10 Berk
x2 5 man Berserkers
x2 Jackhal
Rhino
Daemon Princes giving 4+ Inv to everyone is crazy good. FNP & extra movement if your going second. Advance and Charge + 2" Movement if you go first.
I dunno about the daemon princes, little too expensive for my taste

I do tailored advice via patreon, outside of that I have plenty of videos on WE

KLoS is vulnerable to terrain, this event will be very dense
The list with 2 MoE is sexy, but it’s pretty sure the dataslate will hit them HARD, as well as Spawns
This event is before the dataslate
KLoS list for me. Honestly I think the Lord has such a community heritage as a meme unit that we subconsciously struggle to consider it strong in the meta - which it is.
Failing that - the Eightbound list (albeit maybe with a 6+3 rather than 3+3+3).
I'm a cooked unit, the more of a meme a unit is the more I want to run it lol
Skulltaker list mainly because it feels like the one I run
I ended up going with the list I ran for VTC as it's the one I am most practiced on, but I am planning to continue to investigate these alternatives
List 5 is what I picture a Khorne army looks like. Angry marines and angry demons charging the enemy.
Just by rule of cool I'd say go with that. Khorne will be pleased.
It is cool ey. Wait till we get zerkers riding juggers

Yeah the slate slapped our balls pretty hard
I just started 10th edition this year, got the red angel box as a start. Would a combat patrol be the next thing to pickup?
It’s the best way to basically get 90% of the range (not counting allies)
Combat Patrol, Kharn + Master of Executions and a couple of Rhinos and you have a rock solid army
Agree, however with a dataslate mere weeks away this is subject to change lol
If you are looking for 3 damage, is there a reason not to pick the forgefiend ? Could have multiple for the cost of klos and lock out multiple avenues
It is not the worst idea
I need an updated list after the nerfs. Still think 1st list is best, but am struggling trying to make everything fit in 2000 points
I'm working on an update to this video. The LoS list is looking good
I really like list"4". I think the Bloodletter unit will not be properly respected. Similarly, no one is practiced about daemons right now. Good luck at your event!
Thanks mate. I do love the wild card aspect
hello thank's for your videos:) I nyour opinion why Angron must be in each WE list. Do you think list without Angron could be competitive?
Yes I think it can, but it looks very different. Berzerkers and regular eightbound kinda need angron to do reliable damage. Exalted are OK without him. You also need heavy damage dealer's so probably Maulerfiends or defilers
Any thoughts on double LOS? I happened to end up with two and want to see if I can make a list to work for it.
I did a series if videos a while back about a double LoS list after doing quire well with them at a few GTs. Problem is terrain, if it is too dense it really fucks you
Number Two or the Juggernaut list.
Seems a popular choice
Which one did you go and how did it go?
I did a video reviewing this event, look at the Australian ITC Championships, uprising
Thank you so much
"some of these lists look similar"
Yeah because we have like 16 units to choose from.... Thanks GW lol
Also doesn't help half of them are unplayable bad like the heldrake
@@BlogForTheBloodGod Yep. Heres hoping for a big 2nd wave this edition! I'm not holding my breath though since Votaan need a 2nd wave as well....
was watching this...and first list says karn is only 80pts and i'm like WTF did i missed a point correction? nope. 7mo old video. le sigh
Hahaha yeah those were the days hahahah.
Perhaps we are due for an update
… or you build new list because of the nerf … 😂
your gamin mat is out of stock =(
I don't think they do international postage anyway
