Ur observation is not totally right. Gigantic crocodile can bite a lion and a tiger on its leg or can choke a tiger by scluping it's neck. There are cases like this. A tiger or lion in group can only kill crocodile if it's in shore . A crocodile is also a very cunning species and can drag a single tiger deep in water where the poor tiger will have no chance but to die.

It all depends on how big the Croc is. A giant 20 foot saltwater or Nile Croc is more than a match for anything in the water,However on land a Python would NEVER be able to defeat a 20 foot Croc. The Croc would simply chomp down on his head & take him for a spin in the water. Python would be done for pretty quick. Tigers & Lions know where a Crocs soft weak spot is on the back of their head & it only takes a few hard bites to kill them!! In the water though,a Lion or Tiger would lose because they wouldn't be able to get to that spot!!! A Jaguar could also possibly kill the Croc only on land. An Elephant would simply stomp on his head & kill him. Don't forget that an Elephant weighs about six tons!!! An Elephant would kill the Croc the easiest!!!
And come on. How can a Crocodile take on a Elephant?

7:05 here shows a clip of the famous Tigress Machli, from Ranthambore killing what was thought to be a 12-14 foot crocodile.
As the tale goes, the crocodiles armoured skin was too tough for Machli to sink her fangs into the spin to snap it. That would have made it a quick death. Instead she held the crocodile in place for 45 min while she mutilated its body, before ripping one arm clean off the crocodile. She then left it to die, which it eventually did.
But to refute the claim that the tiger looses to the croc in water, shallow or deep, the evidence shows otherwise.
Machli is now deceased, but her daughter, Arrowhead, is now the queen. And there is a recent video showing her to stalk a crocodile who is in the water, submerged, some feet from the shore. And Arrowhead at length sprinted out to the bank and leaped into the water into the croc. A fight ensued in which the crocodile thrashed for its life. The tigress was the aggressor throughout, the croc barely surviving. It was not until other crocs began to approach that Arrowhead abandoned the fight to go ashore.
Conversely, there is a story of a tiger, likely a large male, killing a 12 foot croc in deeper waters.
It was the dead of night, and a local park ranger heard a familiar commotion in the river near his cabin. Not crazy enough to investigate in the dark, he waited till morning, thinking it was simply another crocodile having killed something trying to cross the river at night.
That morning, the ranger approached the rivers edge, and found the crocodile floating there, dead. The ranger noticed something stuck in the teeth of the dead crocs mouth. He plucked it out and was amazed to see it was a tiny piece of a tigers tail. The crocodile had had its skull caved in. There was no other sign of the fight other than the tiger tracks exiting the river on the opposite bank.
The amazing part of this is the the ranger surmised that this battle must have taken place in waters deep enough that the tiger would not have been able to touch the riverbed. We have to remember that a big male tigers blow force can reach 15,000 psi. Strong enough to knock a humans head clean off its body, as though hitting a baseball off a tee.

I think crocs are a really underrated animal, most crocodiles are around 16 ft long and weigh 700-800 kg, they are apex predators and have survived for over 240000000 years with little evolution, their death roll is super effective and their scales and osteoderms are very tough and impenetrable, their bite force is almost 4000 psi and they are 6 times stronger than humans. Only animals larger than them can kill them in my opinion. (I’m talking about the saltwater and Nile crocodiles)

Ur observation is not totally right. Gigantic crocodile can bite a lion and a tiger on its leg or can choke a tiger by scluping it's neck. There are cases like this. A tiger or lion in group can only kill crocodile if it's in shore . A crocodile is also a very cunning species and can drag a single tiger deep in water where the poor tiger will have no chance but to die.
