Eastenders did acknowledge the pandemic, but unlike other soaps they were in the unlucky position of having to stop airing the show for a little while. The soaps started to stagger the release of episodes but Eastenders ran out in June and it didn't return until September, so the acknowledgement came after that break. Because of this some people like to joke that the show is now in it's second season. When it came back lockdown & covid were referenced/featured in storylines. It was actually mentioned this week!
That's just become part of my lexicon ever since I first heard it. I've said it to so many people at work and they never have any idea what I'm on about.
The whole thing about cornflakes making kids less emotionally distressed makes me think that the control group was just made to sit there and do nothing without any information
He missed the whole point of beat the burglar, which was to help a family improve their security. The reason for the ex burglar to break in is to show security weaknesses and how devastating it can be.
23:03 EastEnders doesn't represent the modern East End of London, which is now majority non-white. If anything, demographically it is closer to certain areas in South London.
I also find 'new Who' (love that phrase) too emotional and overwrought; but then I'm an old so-and-so who grew up watching 'old Who' and am not really the target audience for the modern show.
9:10 Ik you’ve said before how you can’t stand Ricky Gervais so you probably won’t enjoy it which is a shame because if it was anybody else I think it’d be right up your street

I love his 'fired from London' line (10:06), it makes another appearance in the series 3.

I’m with Charlie… definitely nothing worse than someone jabbering all over something.
The world at war would be fantastic since outside of the narration, it’s just a straight forward shot by shot history of the Second World War.

Hi Taffe, would you ever consider reacting to The World at War? It might be a bit too serious but very interesting to see your reaction.
Any news on reacting to the final series of Still Game?

World At War was very good.
Tom Baker is the GOAT.

Fabulous
Eastenders had to take a break due to the pandemic ruining the shooting schedule. When it returned the BBC trailed it as 'Series 2'.
