I often wonder what koi keepers would do if we couldn't continue to modify our filtration 😕 I'm waiting for a delivery of K+ from the UK to upgrade one of the filters on my indoor pond so I can say I'm in the filter change club as well. 😀 😀 😀 Stay safe and warm. Cheers.

Hi mate, I used clear perspex to make them. You can buy them from Devon koi pond, and koiponics makes a 3d printed version. Andy 👍

Good Morning Sir, may I ask what the grey coloured bit of rubber piping you used to connect from your ball valve to your flexi pipe is (15 min 16 sec in) and where you got it from. I am doing the same thing to my easy pod as what you have done to yours and that is the only part I need. Appreciate any help you can through at this. Thank you.
Hi Grant it is a floplast flexi waste coupler i got it from screwfix it cost about £12. I hope that help Stay safe Andy 👍

Im in the process of building my first pond, it's been an epic.
I'm looking at initial filtration with an easypod.
What Is the height of the water from the stand the pod sits on to the water surface in it, if that makes sense?
I want to run mine as a gravity system.

Hi Anthony I have the water level just under the overflow assembly (the 3 channels on top) when the pump is running and when it's turned off the water level rises abovet the 3 channels for cleaning. I hope that make sense? Andy

I've seen a couple of ponds with the floating rectangle in. Do you feed them in that to train them to come to hand or is is for something totally different? 🤷🏼♂️
The main reason is to stop the food from being drawn into the skimmer, but it has the benefits of gathering the koi when feeding for closer inspection, training hand feeding, indication on how hungry they are etc, koi that aren't feeding etc. They can be modified for plant holders and koi holding nets.

For feeding, saves the food going down the skimmer.

Evolution Aqua customer service is disgustingly appalling. Why did you not fit another slide valve or repair, Andy?
Hi mate, I did try to repair with used parts but it failed, gate valves are OK especially if not used that often but over a short time if used regularly they often leak mate so I decided to exchange it for a ball valve which are more reliable 😀
