@@NicksFarm as my mate said when I started out, the “haybob” is a jack of all trades, master of none. As long as it pulls wet grass up on top it’s fine
Hey love it we heave a 7700 2wd Lovely no ac tho and we put it on a Massey 6 rotor 8.6m a pit light on the front because 2wd I’ll tag you on a vid I made on tik tok have a nice day!!
Hey Nick, nice video as always. Those 2 rotor tedders you don't see too much of ehm here in the Netherlands, we use a 5.5meter 4rotor tedder, which is considered small around here. And a 4.2meter single rotor rake, again considered small. But big enough with 7hectares of hay making at the time. But something else, I saw you picking up the machine and back up everytime at the headlands, why not keep it on the ground and make rounds. The headlands gets tedded more, but no harm in that. We never pick up our tedder once we started. Makes the work quite a bit easier. But maybe its our preference :) Anyway keep them vids coming, Cheers from the Netherlands, Casper
Around me (south lakes) the locals call it "Scaling out the hay". Wuffing is slightly different, same principle but a "Wuffer" spins vertically like the tines on a merger.
Strangely enough even after ur explanation Nick I thought it was still throwin it out in rows instead of spreadin full width behind machine 🤔 excellent video though 👍👍
question: I see your farm with lots of equipment, buildings, airplanes, etc but I don't see what your cash crop is? how do you pay for what you have it would be interesting to see what your farm produces and what you sell thanks
You would think like with weather and that id be more thinking hed need a ten foot mower. 4 head turner and a small rake? Idk be interesting to seee whst tmway the westher goes if the smaller equipment can cover the ground or will there be late nights
The reason your old FORD's air conditioning is colder is because it's still using R12 freon - which will blow colder than your Deere (post 1996) - which operates with 134a freon.🥶⛄❄️ 👍🇺🇸
can u fix the air con on the tractor that i purchased a month ago .........was working but now stopped , called the dealer as itis under warrenty ............he told me to open a window as warrenty doed not cover that ...................
Good to see the hay making. If you’re happy, I’m happy, but I’m a bit surprised that you went for a two star tedder. It seems like a lot of driving up and down. I know that 50 acres isn’t huge in farming terms, but it’s not very small either. But then, I’m not a farmer, what do I know?
I guess it’s down to the fact that the returns on 50 acres worth of hay isn’t going to be huge so it’s hard justifying spending too much on equipment, smaller kit still getting the job done and happy to be using it 🙂
@Nick’s Farm got you, I follow your logic. Thanks for replying, I do appreciate your willingness to interact with us. It really adds something to the videos that you answer questions and explain things. I really enjoy your channel, keep up the good work and may your wheat be strong and healthy.
Yep got it baled today 🙂 hmm maybe, depends on growth and timing with combining, we don’t fertilise our grass fields and normally only take the one cut 👍
Yeah that's exactly what I was thinking. It might be the angle it's mounted to the tractor has to he just right. But it's not throwing it out to the sides or turning it over as much as I'd expect. Probably won't matter as the weather is so hot though!
So basically as I said in video, I struggled to get it to spread evenly when I first went tedding, even after following the book 🤷🏼♂️ it said slower rpm but higher speed etc, but after a couple attempts I realised it actually made a better job with a high speed and high rpm, but then I also read that these machines do have a tendency to have a rowing up effect once the crop is dry or if it’s a light crop, to be Honest I was getting a little frustrated with it, but got it as good as could be, as PB said, it’s plenty dry enough anyway 😂😂
You are a top class woofter!!!!! Sorry, I couldn't resist!!
Nice video again Nick. I do like that 7710!
That's a nice Lely Lotus HAY BOB!!!!!
Looks a good crop. Good luck getting it all in. Great to see the Ford making hay, takes me back years.
Awsome looking great hay nick great drone footage hope you get it all baled👩🌾👩🌾👍👍👌👌🇬🇧🇬🇧🏴🏴🚜🚜
Thanks Sandy 👍
I used drive a ford 7810 with A/C and it was very very good and cold .🍻🍺🚜
Nice looking hay nick great video
Thanks!
Nice Nick, love that 7710
Thanks!
Looks Nice field of hay Nick, 👍👍👍
hope you get it in ok before ⛈🌦🌧
Great video looks good behind the 7710👍🏼
Thanks Rob
Loving the hay making vid mate! Doing a cracking job!
Great combination nick! …you’ll get there ! First time for everything!.
I used to to love the job of Hay ‘woofing’ and then rowing. Baling was ok if I was on tractor, sneezed like hell if stacking. Still the same today.

Brilliant video Nick, thank you 👍
Cheers Alex 👍
Great video. Those tines look so much easier to change over than the old haybob ones.
great video as always keep up the great work nick
Thanks John 👍
Hi Nick good seeing how the lely works/ designed a bit different to the hay bob Thanks
Hi nick we used to think a 7710 was to big for a hay Bob we used to use a Massey 135 now a 7710 is a small tractor 🤔👍👌
Yup it’s no longer a big tractor by today’s standards 😆
Looks good. We have the exact tedder/rake combo in Vermeer colors - model TR90. We have some videos of it at work on our channel. Best of luck haying!
There use to be a machine called a Wuffler , hence Wuffling .
Made by bamfords
A ford 7710 is my favourite tractor
Can’t beat them 💪
Not too shabby for a beginner 😉. I’ll look forward to seeing will and his baler
Haha thanks mate, I’ll get there!! If I’m honest I wasn’t overly impressed with the lotus for tedding but seemed to row up alright today 🙂

We silage the headlands and hay the middle. We go 6 times round. Going to hopefully add A/C to our ford 6410

Good luck with it hope the weather is on your side 👍
Lucky bottom stubble is dry took me a long time getting my hay dry

For some reason lately likes have been disappearing and then reappearing, very odd 🤷🏼♂️
Looks like you’ve left the tines in the rowing up position because it doesn’t seem to be spreading the hay very well ?
I just explained in comment below 👇🏻 yeah it didn’t seem to do so well once it got dryer, was definitely in tedding position too 🤷🏼♂️

Surely you mean ‘wuffling ’?
Don't need big kit to do the tedding, lotus 300 will do the job, and easy to maintain
Yes good bit of kit 👍
Nick just at a quick question, do you sell boiler-suits at all?? as i would be interested in buying one.
Unfortunately not but what a good idea!! 😎
Looking forward to see the baling🌱😁💯

You appear to be partially rowing the hay, rather than turning it, it looks very lumpy, double check the settings

Yea it looks like it's in row in position.. Its not throwing it out at all... And the crop is heavy enough without that..
Them type of tedders always tend to row up . More so as the crop gets towards hay .
It is definitely in rowing settings, It only throwing to middle, slow down forward speed as well
My old man calls it “twizzling”… then again he isn’t a farmer 😂
😂😂
27’C and no a/c? Try 48’C and no a/c but, plenty of camels😅
You should do the mowing and tuning/raking with the John deere 8r 😂
Yep now that’s a good idea!! 😂😂
I think that's the smallest bit over kill only the tiniest bit🤣🤣
Next nick needs to make small square bales and use a case quadtrack to run the baler.
great video nick.
Thanks Martin 👍
