I respect Guy as a coach because he was also a singing teacher, but I honestly don’t hear Jacks progression since the audition. I think Delta would’ve been a better fit
Ella Enchanted he doesn’t need to progress technically, he needs to progress mentally.
Scott Morris I think there’s always room for improvement, and technically he was over doing it a bit with runs at the audition, but I still LOVED that performance so much. I do agree though that it’s more mental than technical. I really thought Guy would help him overcome a bit of that but I don’t see it at all :(
Ella Enchanted Not something that you’re going to get over in a month unfortunately. But I think Guy is the most sincere out of all of the judges.
I agree, Jack needs a good song and he will smash it. I think he sings every day, he just stopped performing. Give him the right song and couch and he’ll win

AGT 2011 Jack Vidgen Audition. 14yrs old, belted out 'I Have Nothing'. Strong, powerful, confident, the Audience, the Judges, all went nuts. Australia fell in love at first sight. The Voice 2019 a different sound but still bloody awesome. I can see how beaten down he has become and would so love to see that strong powerful boy come through again. Come on Jack let us see that power again. Watch yourself at 14yr and remember those songs you tantalized us with and sent goosebumps up our arms.
This voice is here just deserves to heard by people like all over the world.

He's not going to. He's let his fear take over. If he didn't do it here he never will. This was his only second chance that most people never get. He will fade away behind all the other singers that brought their all and sang like their life depended on it. While they were singing with their hearts he was just doing some safe, warm, and fuzzy love songs. He's never going to do it now. That was his chance. It's really sad bc you can hear his amazing voice hanging right on the edge but he holds it down.
he wasnt holding back, he was showing more of his voice besides his range, that's what guy told him to do and that's what he did. You should watch his journey video.
Better than his last two performances, but I still think he’s holding back. His audition set the bar too high
Nocturnal Illusion I actually think this was the best he’s done. He’s finally having an emotional connection. The other songs just sound like he was singing them for the sake of singing them. It’s not just about hitting notes.
I think it's because Guy has stripped down his performances... Jack has an amazing voice but I think Guy said it's too much when he does all those high notes to show off. I also agree that his audition was gold and I wish he could do something similar again...
I do agree! I think that, unfortunately, Guy being the mentor has something to do with his "weak" latest performances. The song choices and the way the music is conducted lack power vocals and stardom. These last performances are too stripped down, and his voice sounds unconfortably lost on those simple and restrained arrangements :(
you shouldn't put a lion in a cage. Give him explosive arrangements and let him shine again!
@@whoever_santos Totally agree! I listen to his 2011 AGT songs which won him the crown that year. I am hoping that Guy knew he would put him through to the finals and now it is audience choice he will let Jack free with those powerful songs.
I agree with you that this one is much better than the last two performances . Maybe song choice matters here, his audition piece was really a trademark of him. I hope he had given a song that will really boost out his ability as a singer since its a Final round .

It's a good song but cliché. He always hit high notes and we all already know he's good in what he's doing. I think some more emotional it will be better...btw, sorry for my bad english...

Regardless of what coach he has, what song he sings, or how he compares to past performances, Jack’s voice is truly amazing.
This is nothing compared to what he can do. It's a nice voice but doesn't come close to standing up against the others that are bringing all they have. Theres no passion or anything here. It's just simple singing and that doesn't get you to the top or even a contract. It's just nice singing like all the other many people that can sing nice. It's not the voice that made him stand out amongst many others the first time. He still has that voice but he's too scared to use it. Giving him a pass bc he sounded simply good won't help him. He needs people that care to push him past his fear. This wasn't amazing at all for what we all know he can do.
Jack performing onstage is more than just singing but he also tells a good story that people are so glued about him. He made this song competition more than just the voice of Australia, but entirely how he inspires a lot of viewers across the world.

Oh my gosh. He just sings that song so effortlessly. I feel as if there is so much more power behind that voice and he was kind of holding back for some reason. It would be good to just see him let loose in concert.

I really like how Jack is connecting more with the songs than to just show vocal gymnastics, I think in the next episodes he might be doing bigger songs (bigger vocal ability to sing) but I like the different sides of his voice being shown from the last couple performances.

They do, but tbh I don't think this performance needed the extravagant backdrop. Just the spotlight and Jack would've been enough. His vocals shouldve been the only centrepiece 🤗

I watched Jack as a child, he has developed his own style now, im soprano, so Understand his Voice., but the low notes are the ones that tell the story. His Voice has broken as he is an adult now. Let me see the Critics sing like that? Jack has a Unique Sound to his Voice which distinguishes him from other singers. Jack will certainly "Rise Up" practice makes perfect. I believe in Jack.

I’m absolutely a HUGE fan of Jack!! But I don’t think his coach did the best job with song choices.. Jack and Sheldon are both such wonderful singers❤️❤️❤️ I hope someday they both come to America ( specifically Phoenix Arizona☺️) I would love to hear them both in person..
