Thank you for helping Kimber out. That's what we all should be doing is helping each other. The world would be a much better place without all the fighting.
Hi Steve, just watched the Model Train video(comments turned off). What a beautiful layout and must be a great privilege to be a member. I always wondered where your TY name came from. Didn't know about the Sharkm River! Merry Christmas to you and family. Regards Kevin
Thank you, Kevin. I listed the video as "Safe For Children" that must be why the comments were turned off. I am going to go back in and try to change it. This has caused some other issues including very few views.
I have been helped out by many fellow viewers and UA-camrs. It is enjoyable to pay it forward sometimes. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours.
Thanks for watching, once you get used to working in the shop without the camera rolling it takes some extra motivation like this project to start up again.
Thank you, Andy. The next Shark Bits should be of particular interest to you. I got the parts to put the dividing head together and I have an interest project to use it on.
I have been getting enough shop time just no video time. Sometimes I need some extra motivation. Plenty more to come. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Just subscribed! ive been machining some shafts recently, and wanted to get some tips from other machininsts. The tip about cutting in one direction will help me out! didnt think about the climb milling opening up the slot.
When I started working on the project I could actually see the end mill deflecting. When using a carbide end mill or a larger end mill that is more rigid it probably would not be a problem. I actually cut a couple of keyways in a scrap piece first to check on the size. Thank you for watching and subscribing.
Awesome job Steve once more. Thank you very much you and those like you make the machinist community awesome. I am overwhelmed sometime by the kindness, advice and encouragement I receive from real machinist. Thanks again.KIMBER
Nice work Steve. Great video. Great job not breaking milling cutter. Thank you for sharing.
I was sweating it out with the little milling cutter. I you look close you can see the deflection in the cutter. Thanks for watching and commenting.
