- A video of quite a few Kniphofia caulescens in bloom in our New York garden. A very hardy species easily grown from seed, my plants came from Silverhill Seeds and show variation in flower color. All they ask for is good sun and when happy they will even self sow a bit. This species does not require winter protection here and is probably good into at least USDA zone 6. The winter usually damages the foliage but old winter tattered leaves can be sheared off in spring though I often just leave the dead foliage and let the new foliage grow above it.
Very very nice 👍
Thanks!
