I have the Lofree Flow 100 and have tried two different units on my Mac. I cannot get the Function keys to work correctly or the Number Lock, even using the “Mac mode” FN+M. I love this keyboard and it’s my favorite out of the four I have. It feels very solid compared to the NuPhy and Keychron. I just wish I could get the function keys to work properly. I tried using it on a Windows computer, and it works perfectly. The battery life is great, and I love the aluminum frame. I have the Phantom switches in mine, and they’re super satisfying to type on all day. A few cons I wish they would have included: - 2.4 USB - Rear leveler - Mac compatibility
@@TristanPope ahhh I just got it.. im melting from the sound !! It’s amazing … but the Prt Sc button doesn’t seem to work to take screenshots, nor does the Windows key, is there anything im missing ?
I could not stand the apple keyboard so for a while I was using razer and I was happy with those keyboards for years . Then they decided to no longer support mac and I was really bumed out about that. So I ended up getting a logic keyboard and while that was okay it just didnt feel and look inspiring to me. I ended up getting the Nuphy Halo v2 and I am in love, I ended up getting two one for my mac set up and one for may pc. I am curious about the loFee just because I have gone down the rabbit hole myself when it comes to keyboards so I haave been learning more about them ,lol Great video sir, keep up the great work very informative.👍👍
I've found your Lofree videos very useful, thanks for putting in the effort. I, too, am a coder with an "unconventional" typing style. I have a question: in your sound test, you're typing calmly. Is that how you usually type? Because I'm more of a maniacal key-basher. So I'm wondering if that will make these keys easier (less fatiguing) over long periods.
Nice review and feedback with Lofree keyboard! Just for my case, my top priority right now was this unique layout that I can only find in Keychron K17 Pro where I needed 3 keys for Delete/Home/End and Full Zero keys. Topped with Gateron Chocolate switches then I'm ready to go. The layout was the only reason I have to let go of my Lofree100 and Nuphy Air96.
😅 totally the same, your issues are so mine!...after logitech MX....it is hard to come back...especially the feel that makes you want to keep coming back....this numpad is useless to me since its hard for me to get used to without looking at them, especially "0" ..... im ordering my numpads separately, Epomaker AK21X to compensate! :) good review video, though😊
Thanks and yeah I’ve considered a seperate number pad to make it the perfect keyboard. But something new is coming from lofree. Can’t say too much right now but I’m testing it this month! Stay tuned though for NuPhy and Keychron videos. Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@TristanPope first of all congratulations for the review, you almost convinced me to buy it but I've been thinking for 3 weeks...I'm asking or not asking...I finally decided to ask you! :D i too would like a keyboard with the classic old school layout with the space above the arrows and the keypad on the right (so a 100%) i know you can't tell us more but can you at least confirm that a low profile from Lofree with these features will be coming? because i've been on standby since i read this comment of yours!!!
@@TristanPope oh okay, you're referring to the flow lite, I saw the presentation video today, i thought there was a new one coming out with 100% layout that we didn't know about. and that's fine. thank you! i'll have to give up the dream of having a low profile with this sound but with the convenience of 100% layout for some reason it's not considered by nuphy or lofree and I don't see any other models that have these features with sound of those levels (for low-profile)
I'm also looking for something to replace a broken Apple USB Magic keyboard. But for me loudness is super important as I use the keyboard even at night. Which one is louder, the mechanical or the old Apple ones?
@@TristanPope Thanks! It seems I'll stick to Apple but I'll keep an eye on this one. I'm so not used to buying keyboards I didn't even notice I need an ISO keyboard not an ANSI like this one 🙈
I am a fan of Apple wired keyboard. I'd say Cherry KW X ULP mechanical keyboard might be a perfect replacement for it. Ultra low-profile with butterfly mechanism design under the key cap. That's very apple to me.
I tried it, that thing is more sensitive than apple's keyboards. I actually had a meeting with their designers and they agreed the actuation force is off, the spacing of keys is off and the repairability is non existent for a 200+ keyboard.
I just got mine and I honestly don't see the hype. I got the black and silver tactile version. It does look beautiful in an understated way. The Nuphy Air 96, which I don't have anymore, felt much lighter to type on. And the Logitech MX Mechanical feels much softer when you bottom out. I am surprised. With a gasket mount I was hoping for a much softer feeling but I can imagine this keyboard bothering my fingers after awhile. I think I'm returning mine. All the review say it's "creamy' and "buttery"--love how people describe keyboards like they are diary farms. I was imagining something like a low profile version of a Keychron Q series or a Topre keyboard. Not even close. Those boards are like pillows for your fingers. This is not at all in that league.
So I see what you’re saying. And I don’t think it’s perfect. I do love the sound of it and the key cap quality. The switches are too hard to press which would hold me back. Stay tuned for my NuPhy and Keychron videos cause I believe you have merit in your thoughts. I just know I can’t go back to the Logitech g series after this. The Nuphy is much easier to press which is great. The sound however is less desirable. The Keychron the browns are terrible and I’m waiting on replacements and the non absorbent board makes sound rough. Mightnneee a foam mod
You must be pleasant at parties considering the video has been out for less than its length and you’re already commenting back handed comments. Back when I used the wired keyboard they were 50$ each. Not so over priced eh? Cost is subjective to work you can get done one something as well. But it was lovely for you to stop by :) what keyboard do you enjoy?

the tactile feedback and thocky sound sold me on this keyboard! also, love the customization options. great review!
Interesting! Usually people love the linear sound more. Good for you! Glad it helped!
Thx for the detailed pros and cons. Lack of RGB lighting isn’t a big deal for me, and the sound and feel of the keys you described is perfect.
yeah me either I like the look of a simple lighting option.
In the market for a new keyboard and this review came just in time. Customization options and hot-swappable switches are huge. Thx!
Welcome hope you are happy with it!
Great review! Higher actuation force is something I'll keep in mind, but overall, the Lowfree Flow 100 sounds fantastic.
Yeah def keep it in mind if you like it to be lighter.
love the energy in your review!the Lowfree Flow 100 is now on my wish list. keep up the great work!

been looking for a keyboard that feels like my old apple one forever! this review is awesome!! def trying the Lowfree Flow 100. thx tristan!
This has the feel for sure.
I’ve been an Apple keyboard user and was skeptical about finding a replacement. The Lowfree Flow 100 sounds perfect. Can’t wait to try it out.

never heard of the Lowfree Flow 100 before. your comparison to the old apple keyboards convinced me to give it a shot. thx for the honest review!

Apple keyboards are overpriced. Anyone who thinks otherwise is either far too off with apple products or haven't really tried/known better boards.
