Loved the religious discussion. Resonated very much with Adam’s POV. I grew up Baptist and didn’t fully leave the church until about age 31. After a few years I’m coming back around to some sort of spirituality that tries to take in the good concepts from any philosophy out there and reject the unknowable stuff about the characteristics of God, etc.
Great ep, love the religion discussion at the end. My favorite answer to “why is there something rather than nothing” is “why not?” I don’t see any evidence that there could have been nothing.
I don't know anything about IndieHacking, but it sounded like dating business ideas. One foot out the door, ghosting, broken promises and one night stands. Though... for learning I'd love that. With everyone on the same page before they meet :) Maybe that's the next app idea: swipe right for next weekends hackathon project.
Gnosticism deals with your knowledge and confidence in your convictions Gnostic - I know Agnostic - I don't know Theism deals with your belief Theist - Believes in God(s) Atheist - Does not believe in God(s) Anyone being honest with themselves is either: Agnostic Theist - I don't know for sure, but I think there probably is a God(s) Agnostic Atheist - I don't know for sure, but I think there probably isn't a God(s) It is people who claim to have absolute knowledge about the existence or lack thereof of a higher power that you should be wary of.
@@backendbanterfm Bro misunderstood your comment on Adams Anticoffee -> sell coffee ark being compared to giving up cigarettes -> work at a cigarette company.
@@backendbanterfm No you see, you compared them, which you are not in fact allowed to do since comparison ACTUALLY implies equality. For example, if I am saying that a good car is better than a worse car, I am in fact saying that the good car is the same as the bad car. Doubleplusgood illiteracy

Gnostic - I know
Agnostic - I don't know
Theism deals with your belief
Theist - Believes in God(s)
Atheist - Does not believe in God(s)

Didn't know that you grew up Mormon
Dr Suess wrote some fun (\s) WW2 Japanese interment camp stuff. Excellent children books, less excellent takes on the interment camps 😕
Comparing coffee to smoking cigarettes is a nutter take. Smoking traditional cigs is way worse. It would be like comparing sex to prostitution.
We said smoking is as bad as coffee?? That doesn't sound right at all

@@backendbanterfm Your analogy at working in a cigarette factory is what I was addressing.
