From the moment I saw the marquee "THREE" in the arcade, and I realized what it was, this game left a huge impression on me. The animation was leagues beyond anything else I had seen - it looked like a cartoon. I loved the richly detailed backgrounds brimming with life, some of the best pixel art I've ever seen. I liked that Capcom had the guts to actually wipe the slate clean and have all new characters - they originally weren't going to even have Ryu and Ken in. We had to start from scratch, much like the first time we played Street Fighter II. Maybe that decision was the reason why this game didn't do as well as other Capcom fighting games.
It's a weird mix, one hand I like the idea of not having the same Chun-Li, Kens and Akumas per game, at the other time. They definitely fill a missing hole in a roster.
Before this 1 year prior Art of Fighting 3 released and at that point it was the most beautiful and most detailed 2D FG at that point. It had a lil cartoonish and anime style to it mix with realism too.
@ANDREW VEGA SNK really went all in with the High res 2D graphics and sprites its the #1 best looking game in the series and #1 best looking fg of all time.
@@Marc-rw3dd I read it right he said this was one of the best themes in the series. I said 2nd Impact did that theme better but, Street Fighter Alpha 3 I feel was his best theme
This is my favorite music track in this game, I always remembered it throughout the years, I was so happy when I finally got to play it on Dreamcast with Double Impact, Xmas 2000 was a great time for me
Best Capcom track. It is video game music and house music combined. Better than the SFIII 2I version! I like the 'swing' (I think it's called) on the snare, you can hear at 0:08 that the snare is a little off-beat. Effects like that make it sound old school and organic.
EgyptianDragon It was the New Genration man, gotta get some new Jams in. I like this theme honestly. Though my taste for music, especially Game Music, is pretty normal. I'm not picky.
Nostalgia for the lose. Ryu's most boring theme is his SF2 one, though it is iconic, it's time to give it a rest, his theme from alpha 3 is probably the best theme he ever had

Back when Capcom dared doing something new that is not recycled

I remember being blown away seeing Ryu and and Ken on the Arcade with this track playing..I was Like OMG! .the why they were bouncing to the music
Bahaha "bouncing to the music".
They flexing, they
pumping emselves' up for an epic fight.
This theme is their moment to flex .
Ah man, I wish I have that for first time experience in arcade. You're lucky guy! I started off SF3 3rd strike for dreamcast.
this theme is sexy.
Sounds like Ryu has loosened up a bit
He's much older in 3S
Also Ryu has always been calm. Except for when he gets possessed by the satsui no hado.
@@TangyLimes By SF3, he no longer is able to be possessed.
@@Mateoski97 Yeah, I remember in SFV he expelled the Satsui no Hado from his body and it became Kage
one of the best themes in the series and my second favorite.
Nah his best theme is Alpha 3 and 2nd impact did this one better
@@Kingbossdon i think you misread his comment

By far my favorite theme from a Street Fighter game
This is my favorite music track in this game, I always remembered it throughout the years, I was so happy when I finally got to play it on Dreamcast with Double Impact, Xmas 2000 was a great time for me
The theme of hot spring

garbage compared to the original Ryu theme

By far the trashiest opinion ive seen thus far
I disagree.
