Andy Pierce & Beth Eckerty, Interior Restoration Winner | 2021 Driehaus Bungalow Awards

Andy and Beth’s 1925 bungalow was long overdue for a comprehensive interior rehab and restoration. Years of saving and a little extra time allowed them to restore a total of nine rooms including the original floors, plaster and woodwork, and add energy efficient lighting and appliances. All of the kitchen design and demolition, plaster repair, painting, and wood trim refinishing was done by the homeowners themselves. Created in 2005 by the Chicago Bungalow Association with the generous support of The Driehaus Foundation, the Driehaus Bungalow Awards are an annual juried competition celebrating the creativity and efforts of homeowners-the heart of the home.
