Actually this HB SC DLX seems made at the Cort factory in Indonesia - a general a reference in quality. The clean tones are superb ! Ordered one. Thanks for sharing

Got mine today. It's a real winner. Plays like a dream and sounds great. Perfect build and finish quality. I just lowered the action a little bit. Already my number one !
It's got a strange playability about it. I say strange because I wasn't expecting to want to play it as much as I do. I have to say, my finish was perfect. Well, well above expectation for the price
@@Rosborough I've got 'contaminated' in the same way ! And a little secret ( not anymore now ) : mine is a B-stock and I couldn't find a single flaw ! Very strange too... Cheers & keep on rockin'

Good appraisal - thanks. That colour is Daphne Blue, not Pelham Blue, which is a darker gloss finish and not satin finished - I know because that is what I have, and it is a great guitar for less than £300, as you stated.
Thanks Rob! Yeah I corrected it in the description after uploading. I had a hard time choosing between the daphne and Pelham so I think that's where I got mixed up when chatting in the vid! I hope the guitar is treating you well, I'm still bowled over with mine every time I play it

Nice review. As for the issues, people forget that these guitars are “a few pizzas.” I am a perpetual beginner but I love mine. It is very light, very comfortable, and beautiful (Pelham blue, whatever the hell that is). Caveats: I bought a b-stock with a rotated tuner. Replaced the whole set with Hipshot locking. So if anyone wants to buy a set of gold Gotohs… 😀 And, the volume knob is pretty much on/off. Who cares, I play on a practice amp. I am learning bending now and it is SO easy and natural. Are you a pro? Then why are you even looking at this thing, go plunk down your $2k and stop complaining. Sheesh.

Mine was shipped to me in 5 days from Thomann USA. The pickups were offset so I sent it back. Got a tremonti se for 100 more. Much better guitar anyway.

@@Rosborough thanks bro. I feel bad. The HB played great, looked great, and was super light. Those specs at that price are unreal. I just didn't want to risk it. You can't get Daphne blue over here either. That looks great!

They are superb. In fact, there are so many amazing budget instruments from lots of "budget" companies. The main difference is quality control. It's such an exciting time for musicians, especially those starting out!

It's a little tiny bit on the heavy side but not as much as a standard LP. I've a couple of teles and LPs that are much much heavier
