There a couple things I don't like about this: 1. If you have a lot of people close together, then you need to mute/unmute mics to avoid phasing issues. It'd be nice if Autopod cut audio as well as video (I guess audio-only podcasts can kick rocks? :) 2. It doesn't actually work on multicams, you need to have each camera on separate tracks. Not ideal for quickly changing shot selection, or minimizing the chance for breaking sync when making other edits.

This looks pretty cool but it's just changing the camera based on who's speaking. In Resolve Studio, you can have a feature called workflow integration where you can automate editing based on some scripts that you can write, so if you have more than 1 audio input, one for each person, I don't see how this wouldn't be possible as well. Cool regardless.
something to note you need to capture audio Seprately for each speaker if you have one audio track from a mixing board its not smart enough to separate them
Thanks for the demo! The tech is intriguing, but it's got one BIG limitation, in that you HAVE to have unique video and audio tracks for each "camera". Meaning if you use something like Rode Wireless GO mics that merge the audio into one track in your camera, it literally won't work. Hard to understand why, given in your demo it appears to be making all of its cuts on the VIDEO and doing nothing to the audio tracks. No idea why it would have to be so limiting in this specific way.
Hey, this video is really cool. I was wondering if this software can be used for multicam editing for one speaker as well as eliminating pauses and filler words like "um". I'd like to start using a two-camera setup and streamlining the editing process to make consistent content.

Came to the comments to find a answer for similar questions. Let's hope it can do! At least three cameras (1 wide shot for two people and 1 camera on each person)
Do you have a video on what cameras and microphones you're using? Right now I'm running my podcast off of my galaxy s22 ultra and zoom trak pod equipment. I would love to have the double camera feature because I have guests on 50% or more of my podcasts.
Well, it was impressive. Very impressive. Only one cut wouldn’t have made where it quickly jumped back and forth. But, do you let it rough cut and then you watch the whole 47 minutes to make sure you like it? Like a supervisor? Saves time, but isn’t necessarily ready for publication. So you’re going to spend the next 47 minutes or more proof-listening I guess. Maybe watch it at 2x I guess.

@@Shakesphere-x6d glad you think so, but I’ve been using premiere pro for over 5 years and it is not for me. It’s like digitally re-organizing a file cabinet
I think it’s bad bc now we are going to have less and less of these careers like editors.
@@mistermainer true, but I could barely stand being an editor every day so I don’t mind. They’ll always need editors to do the creative stuff though, AI will just do the boring organizational work
Imagine actually enjoying life, and letting the machine do all the work.
Love it! What if I have a 3rd cam for a wide shot?! Version 2?
That is actually amazing!
This is necessary for anyone doing podcasts!
Does it need to be a 2 camera set up or can it track if it’s 1 camera ?
Man, this is both amazing and scary at the same time 4:29
Is nice, it felt like it did nice L and J cuts.
Doing awesome work. Hope it can do such for none English speakers or non natives
Would this work for wedding ceremony and reception?
You are a true inspiration parker
something to note you need to capture audio Seprately for each speaker if you have one audio track from a mixing board its not smart enough to separate them
Wow! That’s awesome👍 fully packed information. Gonna use it for sure. ❤
Holy crap. Figured I’d give this a try. Just used this on a 2 cam 4k podcast (normally 3 camera)…I have a pretty crappy computer and it cut the hour and ten minute episode in about 3-4 minutes.
This is insane!!!
Wtf?? I’ve been sitting here watching this crap encode for ever. I must be doing something wrong
@@Stricknines my encoding after everything has been cut takes forever, I don’t have a dedicated GPU so that’s my issue. My average encode time is 2-3 hours, but if taking an hour or so off my editing time, I’m good with that 😜
But how does it know what to cut? In making it a 3 to 4 minute video are you choosing what you want? I
@@collinsal1433It analyses the audio and video tracks you tell it, and it does the rest. if it hears specific audio it will change to that video track...it's a pretty simple setup.
You have to sync the video and audio first, then it does the main pass of edits and you go in and make sure you like what it's done.
I'm saying the normal edit time for me to do a multi-cam edit can take hours...and when i use autopod, it does it for me in 3-4 minutes. I then put my editor hat on and scrub through quickly to see if I want to change anything.
Hope that clears that up. 🙂
This is REVOLUTIONARY!
Does it only go off of audio for the video cuts or does it have the ability to linger a bit on a person even if they are not speaking?
Nice presentation;-) what capture Tool do you use for screen recording , Quicktime cature Tool? picture quality specially the text is really sharp, do you make the zoom in effect to show the navi bar in premiere in post or while you are live capturing?
Hello! that's peeked my interest in a podcast. Now if AI could cut and edit one of my normal cycling videos I would save so much time and just get out and film.
woowww! Amazing! just one question, the Audio line, is separated for each person, or there is 2 audio cameras ?
This is definitely a huge time saver. Seems like you could easily apply it to any interview scenario. Have you tried it with 3 or 4 people? Thanks for sharing.
OMG this is incredible. Imagine the new types of content that will be coming out in 5 years. It's going to be crazy!
Hi, let's say that I have camera setup similar to this:
- Cam 1 > CU Speaker 1
- Cam 2 > MS Speaker 1
- Cam 3 > WS on the whole room
- Cam 4 > audience reaction
Would AutoPod be versatile and cut between the speaker's CU, MS and VWS, and the audience reactions, to create a more dynamic / interesting edit?
Came to the comments to find a answer for similar questions. Let's hope it can do! At least three cameras (1 wide shot for two people and 1 camera on each person)
Great tutorial. You're great at these. Very useful.
*_Wow, this is game changing!_*
As an podcast editor this looks really dope ❤
We need this for weddings!..... :)
Do you have a video on what cameras and microphones you're using?
Right now I'm running my podcast off of my galaxy s22 ultra and zoom trak pod equipment.
I would love to have the double camera feature because I have guests on 50% or more of my podcasts.
Wow. Amazing. Thanks🙌
RIP video editors. Holy shit it's good, any AI can edit with special effects yet?
Awesome extension thanks for sharing!
Wow... time to start a podcast... editing was always the excuse to not... now I need to find another excuse 😅
Monthly budget now lol
Hello, what good video quality, with which program do you record the camera and screen to obtain that quality?
Sucks that you need separate audio tracks for each person. If they can do this off of one audio track, then that would be great.
try making a autopod wedding ceremony video!
Goodbye my boss now you found better editor than me
This is very fascinating. Is there anything similar to this for Davinche Resolve?
This is crazy, thanks for sharing P.
What if you have one audio source/channel and 2 cameras, will autopod still be able to cut that accordingly?
No at this point it needs a separate audio channel for each speaker
found this video insanely helpful thanks
What about the other functions of the plugin? Will it cut multicam concerts? Events where there are no people speaking but dancing?
Will try it for sure 👌
Omg I never finish my Podcast content because it takes so long to edit.. but this might help me actually finish!! Thanks!!
For my podcast, I have connected 3 microphones to a Rode Rodecaster, which is connected to the Atem Mini Pro ISO. Four cameras are connected to the Atem Mini Pro ISO. As a result, I ultimately have only one audio track. Can the program distinguish between them?
It's crazy, after autocut, recut, now....this.We could save lot of time.
I just laughed out loud when you showed the results. Wow! Welcome to the future I guess 😅👌
And I can say we are officially in the future. now lets have AI invent the flying car and teleporters!
Hi brother, I have a lumix litter that you recommend for an angle like yours, I think it's perfect
WOW! Can this plug-in be used on FinalCut Pro? Thanks for your help!
Very nice! But how does it work if you have more than one camera for a person?
Suggestions on editing voice podcast. Using Adobe Podcast, but its very time consuming
Does it cut the audio too
