The S5X is so good that I kept the S5X headphones and returned the Hifiman Arya Stealth after having both of them on my desk for a while now.
I also don’t trust Hifiman anymore since my Arya began to develop channel imbalance over time.

Happy to hear you found something you like and enjoy, and sorry to hear about your bad experince with Arya, HIFIMAN is a great compnay with warranty, they should replace them if there is channel imbalance

Hello,
How would the S5X compare to the XS Edition for neutrality, soundstage, and dynamic? Is the dynamic driver messing anything over the planar magnetic? I'm concerned about Hifiman build quality. Since I should use them for mixing, I would like to know if the Ollo would be the best bet regarding sound and reliability! At this price, they seem to be quality built..

Hii there, I think that Edition XS has more dynamics, and is more wide in sound, while S5X is more punchy, heavier, harder and has more punchiness. both are great for all kinds of music, I think that both are reliable. Go with S5X if you want a smoother, heavier sound with more bass, and go with Edition XS if you want a brighter, wider sound with less bass.

S5X is easier on the ears for more hours of work, LCD-X has better precision but less bass. I work more with S5X, listen more to music with LCD-X
