I just got scammed on my Louis vuitton bag. The buyer sofreshnfancy claimed the wrong item was sent to her and took photos of this really bad replica which was not my bag. I'm a posh ambassador and this is my first encounter with a scammer. Everyone beware. I want to call her out so no one else sells to her and falls for her scam.
I went to the police because something happen to me like that but the to nothing same we call the postmaster but nothing happen if the value is under 2000$

I'm starting to realize that if it's anything of high value, like Jordans for example...I'm much better off paying a premium on GOAT or StockX, rather than using posh or Mercari. Those apps are cool for shirts, Jean's, ect...but anything else, it's too easy for them to fuck you

It appears as she isn't selling at the moment, but her page is still there. Also, Didn't Poshmark say "as a courtesy" they would release money to you? It sounds to me like she got away with it but they covered their butts by ALSO giving you a refund "as a courtesy". Same happened to me with a pair of shoes.
My first time ordering on Poshmark. I ordered a dooney and bourke bag and ordered as a guest, because I was having a hard time remembering my user name. So the seller said she didn't see anything I ordered. I contacted Poshmark and they sent me a purse but not what I ordered. I have no order number or anything to show them to return it. . My puse I ordered look almost like what they sent me, but mine is bigger and had feet on it. Iam stuck with this purse because I can't show anything. I will never order anything from them again.

I can't stand scammers ! I sold a bathing suit to someone . She got the suit and sent me pictures of a totally different suit The back of the bottoms had a ton of pilling. I told her I don't sell crap like that and I never sent her money back. I knew she was going to get me back, and she did with negative feedback. Of course EBay does not do anything to help the seller. They will never review issues and fix feedback. Which makes me upset as a seller. But I am glad that this women who tried to scam you did not get away with it.
Awesome! I complain sometimes about their 20% sellers fee, but one time I sold 2 pair of shoes the same day & accidentally slapped the labels on the wrong shoes, then shipped them to the opposite buyers, and Posh TOTALLY took care of the WHOLE thing. Instead of losing $ AND the items, Posh took care of it ENTIRELY before I even knew it happened! So that, and stories like this makes me happy at least our fees work for us when we need it sometimes😊

I've heard many times that women buy things, use them and return them. They used to do that in stores, probably still do. It's amazing the lengths they go. I'm opening a store on eBay selling vintage Barbies and clothes. I've learned something valuable here, pictures, pictures, pictures. Thank you!

You're lucky you got your money back. In the letter they don't tell you they're doing the right thing because YOU got screwed, no, they're giving you YOUR money back as a courtesy...a courtesy. Because they wouldn't want to offend a scammer trying to screw someone that ultimately pays Poshmarks bills with the fees you pay. Ebay's not much better and I'm done with Poshmark.
Me too, I think posting to social media also during this whole thing helped speed up the process. They were quick to get back to me once I hit twitter with this.
I had a similar situation with Poshmark. I had a Tory Burch Wallet that I sold. I provided pics of the wallet and all its flaws because it had some worn places. I also stated the imperfections in my description. I had the wallet up for a certain price and this buyer counter offered, I came back with a counter and then they came back again and I finally accepted it. So I had the wallet up for $35and she got it for $30. Well, I had a funny feeling about the sale. I don’t know why but the funds were just sitting there pending after it had been delivered and then suddenly I see a claim stating that the buyer was claiming that the wallet was not as described. There was no way...I pointed out everything that was wrong with the wallet pause provided pics. So I sent in a claim stating my side and provided the pics of the wallet to Poshmark. I figured if I got the wallet returned to me it would be in worse condition than how it was sent to her. After a couple of days my money was released. The buyer had no items for sale in her closet and she had been with Poshmark for a while so I totally figured she was a scammer. My only call out for Poshmark is that I wish they would have written to tell me that they made a decision in favor of me or something. Instead I just saw that the money was available. That was the only way I knew.
Is there any way you can get money off without a bank account? And how can you make sure you get your money it seems like they can just say they didn't receive the item or something and get a refund

Ah so your buyer has my strap. Guess what an unscrupulous Poshmark seller switched straps on my bag and they did nothing about the seller. I am glad their system worked for you but I will never buy on Poshmark ever again. I sent photos of an authentic strap and the fake one but Poshmark didn’t care.

My heart dropped the more and more I watched this video. I sent out a bunch of stuff a few days ago and one of them came back saying there was a stain (which there wasn’t) and that the clothes had a bad odor to them (I washed them). Poshmark opened a case but i have yet to hear from them. I’m really hoping I don’t get scammed but now I feel like I might be. I've seen so many videos about sellers being scammed on Poshmark. You can tell that those 2 purses are different styles. I don't know why people think they can get away with scamming others..

The problem with people like that is often they get another email address and user name and then come back as someone else. Some people just don't change. Loved this video because it is a true and unbelievable warning of what can happen!

We try to do everything right as sellers and it’s so unfair that sometimes good people get screwed. Yeah you can def see that yours is authentic. Hers look pleather or something. Hers also seems more darker.

I’m going through something with poshmark with a dress I bought. The dress was expensive and has a different pattern. You can tell it’s a knock off and poshmark doesn’t believe it is, when it’s very clear. Poshmark just wants money.
What happens in this situation? It just happened to me. 3 items sent and buyer claims only 2 received. I triple check to make sure all items are included before sealing the box
Some terrible people out there, I am new to Poshmark, I am waiting for a vintage Prada dress and an escada dress. I am terrified by the scam videos I found on YT!!! If my items are ok, I will be very happy and probably will stick to renting in the future 😕
I've had 3 returns in one week on non-authentic items I bought, be VERY careful with designer stuff and check the RN/Style numbers when you get the items because they will buy the correct tag but the inside label is what usually gives it away
I am in the middle of an ebay fight with this too. I shipped a new with tag dress, they complained that the dress wasn't new and it stinks. My guess is, they wore it and didn't want to actually pay for it. Now I'm just waiting for it to get back so I can send ebay the comparison photos.
Got the dress back with tags still on and NO STINK. So I guess it didn't fit and she just didn't want to pay the return shipping. Ebay sided with me and closed it and I already sold the dress again the same day! I honestly haven't had much more trouble with clothes than anything else. I don't do much clothes but I am trying to get more into it because there is just so much more clothes out there than anything else.
You are lucky Ebay did side with you...very rare that they do that! As I've been watching Ebay and learning to sell there also. It holds me back a bit knowing how they mostly side with the buyer...even when they know their sellers have a great reputation and scammers know Ebay sides with buyers. I am hoping to see more positive stories like yours and that Ebay starts taking better care of it's reputable sellers.
I just bought a dress from Postmark. Unfortunately it has been almost a week and the seller still hasn't sent it out yet. I understand the Postmark buyer protection but really want the item. I have tried to reach out to her twice but my questions have been unanswered. (I noticed that nothing in her closet has sold in almost a year.) Can the seller always see when an item has been sold? Can they tell that money was put into their Paypal account? She was logged into Postmark the day after I bought my dress, could she have possibly missed that the item was sold?
The minute an item is sold the big red sold banner appears on the seller's site. If the seller was logged in to her closet she had to have seen it, and also a notice concurrently pops up in her e-mail and on her 'news' site. There is no way with those 3 notifications that a seller won't know the item is sold,unless she never checks her closet, her e-mails or her 'news' feed.
So the buyer's funds never got released to you And they got to keep the real bag? But they lost their account over it? That doesn't seem fair at all. So sorry this happened to you.

I bought from poshmark and had a good experience but I dont want to sell because of this...the ol switch....OR they may just send me a box of rocks! Hi Chris, unfortunately this happens a lot. That’s why it’s very important that you take a lot of pictures and add a good description. I've only sold a few items on Poshmark. Everyone was happy. Regarding Ebay, I've never had a problem with customer service or buyers and can talk directly to customer service by phone rather than email. Stories like these prevent me from selling my expensive items. I'm glad you got your money. I hope Poshmark permanently deletes Lori from buying or selling. She is clearly unethical and a scammer.
Poshmark didn't do anything. The buyer purchased on a secret profile with no info or or items for sale so they could get away with it. Poshmark paid you because they know these things happen, don't have any ability to get the item back so.....they just pay you for it in order to close the book on it.
Girls used to do stuff like that to me all the time on eBay. I feel like overall the Posh community is much more awesome! Good thing you took all those pictures.
I’m awaiting a return of a Valentino bag I sold last week. I couldn’t believe they approved the return! A brand new bag! I’m a top seller on Poshmark, for the past 3 years. This buyer JUST CREATED AN ACCOUNT IN APRIL 2018. I was thinking it was weird because they purchased it at full asking price, didn’t even make an offer! I’m expecting the same kind of problem with a fake return. Thanks for making this video. I’m freaking out about it with $322 at stake! This gives me hope! Never again will I sell an expensive bag like that! Never!

It seems sketch in that you have to wait 3 days for buyer to accept your item. Seems too risky. Depop buyers pay up front. Which helps to Protect the seller. Glad you pursued it.
Hi..what can you do if someone purchases an item & their account has zero listings, no comments & it says they joined Poshmark years ago? Is it possible that I pissed someone off and new they are using bogus accounts to buy the cheapest thing in my closet & start bullying/harassing me? On eBay u can turn away customers that have negative feedback back. I don't know if u can do that on posh without getting a strike against your account?

I dont think this person ever had any listings, I believe that they only have poshmark so that they could switch their fake bag out. I dont think they really sided with you either I think they just pacified you, as like I said I dont think they froze the account , I do not think it was ever active.c
I always wondered if theres people out there who would go as far as to order something (ex: prom dress by their prom date), use it sometime during their 7 day grace period and then make a return claim saying it doesn't match description
Question , so from the time there buyer receives the product to when you get the $ is how long ? My fear is when they get the stuff and there’s like no deadline when to approve the product . Can’t they tamper with the product if they don’t release the $ right away . Can’t they tamper and just say something was wrong , then you get screwed over ?

Seems like a lot of work on the scammers part for a 50 dollar coach purse.

I assume the account was closed because the listings were all removed and I could not access their page any more.

Never got the bag back. Just a refund of the purchase price, so she ended up with the bag and a suspended account. (Im sure she opened a new account)

Poshmark opened a case but i have yet to hear from them. I’m really hoping I don’t get scammed but now I feel like I might be. Sucks because she still got a $300+ bag for free... Because once cancelled in system, buyer gets money back and she got to keep your bag... Glad you got your funds back though.... Smhhhhh

I've seen so many videos about sellers being scammed on Poshmark. You can tell that those 2 purses are different styles. I don't know why people think they can get away with scamming others..

The problem with people like that is often they get another email address and user name and then come back as someone else. Some people just don't change. Loved this video because it is a true and unbelievable warning of what can happen!

As a buyer you should be fine, just keep an eye out for fakes or knockoff's if your buying high end
I am so sorry that happen. Some people are just plain crappy, I’m sorry lol. How could someone possibly do something like this. To send you a fake knockoff purse with stain is screwed up. We try to do everything right as sellers and it’s so unfair that sometimes good people get screwed. Just plain sick and pathetic for people to be like this😓 I am glad that I don’t sell designer stuff because I honestly can’t tell the difference between what’s authentic vs something fake. Yeah you can def see that yours is authentic. Hers look pleather or something. Hers also seems more darker.

I’m going through something with poshmark with a dress I bought. The dress was expensive and has a different pattern. You can tell it’s a knock off and poshmark doesn’t believe it is, when it’s very clear. Poshmark just wants money.

What happens in this situation? It just happened to me. 3 items sent and buyer claims only 2 received. I triple check to make sure all items are included before sealing the box
Some terrible people out there, I am new to Poshmark, I am waiting for a vintage Prada dress and an escada dress. I am terrified by the scam videos I found on YT!!! If my items are ok, I will be very happy and probably will stick to renting in the future 😕
The problem is not a crazy as my video sounds, this is the only time I've had a bad experience with the site.
I've had 3 returns in one week on non-authentic items I bought, be VERY careful with designer stuff and check the RN/Style numbers when you get the items because they will buy the correct tag but the inside label is what usually gives it away
I am in the middle of an ebay fight with this too. I shipped a new with tag dress, they complained that the dress wasn't new and it stinks. My guess is, they wore it and didn't want to actually pay for it. Now I'm just waiting for it to get back so I can send ebay the comparison photos.

Got the dress back with tags still on and NO STINK. So I guess it didn't fit and she just didn't want to pay the return shipping. Ebay sided with me and closed it and I already sold the dress again the same day! I honestly haven't had much more trouble with clothes than anything else. I don't do much clothes but I am trying to get more into it because there is just so much more clothes out there than anything else.
You are lucky Ebay did side with you...very rare that they do that! As I've been watching Ebay and learning to sell there also. It holds me back a bit knowing how they mostly side with the buyer...even when they know their sellers have a great reputation and scammers know Ebay sides with buyers. I am hoping to see more positive stories like yours and that Ebay starts taking better care of it's reputable sellers.

I just bought a dress from Postmark. Unfortunately it has been almost a week and the seller still hasn't sent it out yet. I understand the Postmark buyer protection but really want the item. I have tried to reach out to her twice but my questions have been unanswered. (I noticed that nothing in her closet has sold in almost a year.) Can the seller always see when an item has been sold? Can they tell that money was put into their Paypal account? She was logged into Postmark the day after I bought my dress, could she have possibly missed that the item was sold?
The minute an item is sold the big red sold banner appears on the seller's site. If the seller was logged in to her closet she had to have seen it, and also a notice concurrently pops up in her e-mail and on her 'news' site. There is no way with those 3 notifications that a seller won't know the item is sold,unless she never checks her closet, her e-mails or her 'news' feed.

Poshmark refunded me the money, they kept the real bag and lost their account. Which was not a new account and had like 100+ listings.
That sucks! Man, people are just low life at times! I bought from poshmark and had a good experience but I dont want to sell because of this...the ol switch....OR they may just send me a box of rocks! I've only sold a few items on Poshmark. Everyone was happy. Regarding Ebay, I've never had a problem with customer service or buyers and can talk directly to customer service by phone rather than email. Stories like these prevent me from selling my expensive items. I'm glad you got your money. I hope Poshmark permanently deletes Lori from buying or selling. She is clearly unethical and a scammer.

Poshmark didn't do anything. The buyer purchased on a secret profile with no info or or items for sale so they could get away with it. Poshmark paid you because they know these things happen, don't have any ability to get the item back so.....they just pay you for it in order to close the book on it.

This buyer JUST CREATED AN ACCOUNT IN APRIL 2018. I was thinking it was weird because they purchased it at full asking price, didn’t even make an offer! I’m expecting the same kind of problem with a fake return. Thanks for making this video. I’m freaking out about it with $322 at stake! This gives me hope! Never again will I sell an expensive bag like that! Never!

It seems sketch in that you have to wait 3 days for buyer to accept your item. Seems too risky. Depop buyers pay up front. Which helps to Protect the seller. Glad you pursued it.

Hi..what can you do if someone purchases an item & their account has zero listings, no comments & it says they joined Poshmark years ago? Is it possible that I pissed someone off and new they are using bogus accounts to buy the cheapest thing in my closet & start bullying/harassing me? On eBay u can turn away customers that have negative feedback back. I don't know if u can do that on posh without getting a strike against your account?

Question , so from the time there buyer receives the product to when you get the $ is how long ? My fear is when they get the stuff and there’s like no deadline when to approve the product . Can’t they tamper with the product if they don’t release the $ right away . Can’t they tamper and just say something was wrong , then you get screwed over ?

You get the funds when the buyer accepts the package and the condition. If they don't respond in I think 4 days, you automatically get the money.
