I agree and was going to say the same thing. If she wants to change her name especially since she doesn’t have children, then do it! Texas is not hard to change when and if she wants it changed. All you have to do is show proof by Divorce decree and pay a small fee to get a new license. I live in Texas and did it myself.
I got divorced in 2020 and I chose to take my maiden name back. I’m really happy that I did. It felt like I was claiming myself back and that was something I personally really needed. Best advice on that is to make sure you put it in the divorce paperwork. I didn’t have to go through the normal and apparently expensive process of filing to have my name changed. I was able to take my divorce papers to the DMV and Social Security Office and get it changed relatively painlessly and for free. COVID is the main thing that stretched out my process with that. Best of luck! Divorce is painful but is also a great opportunity to reconnect with yourself. Glad I found your channel. There’s a comfort in knowing your not always alone in your struggles.

I have one of those bust planters but in a jade green! My grandmother gave it to me, and I can't tell you how hilarious it is to see my proper Midwestern grandma calling it the "pothead". My grandma worked so hard to make sure I grew up with culture outside of my rural hick roots by taking me to Broadway plays, trips to Chicago and Canada, and shopping for "proper" clothes, and now gives me planters and calls them potheads. It's the best thing in my life.

I got both cleaning cloths, too. Be sure and watch some UA-cam videos on how to use them and clean them. I love them. We changed banks last year because our bank closed. I couldn’t believe what a headache it was to change all our automatic payments, automatic deposits, etc. so I feel your pain. So happy to see Christmas was a little easier than Thanksgiving for you. Whoa no no no. You have nothing to do with not being "chosen". You were chosen and you can't control if someone can't hold to what they chose and committed to. That solely comes from within a person. Nothing you could be or do can fix that within another person. Know that. Do not let what another is capable of or their issues to be placed on you or how you see yourself at all. Women tend to do that, especially when younger, but someone else's actions and choices to not reflect you. Wearing a Barefoot Dream cardigan right now...so comfy. For blankets I give everyone Unhide Marshmallow blankets. My kids are addicted to them, as am I.

At home in Puerto Rico we don’t change names, family names are two last names long. However, several of my married friends in the states have gone several routes. What I noticed is that when kids are involved a name change helps and keeping it when divorced too (at least until kids are grown. Since I might be biases about the I’m not losing mi identity aka name, I will say go for your own!!! (Meaning Janse). But again, be aware I’m biased towards keeping original names

In your last vlog I commented specific to what I think you should do as far as disclosing details of your situation but failed to tell you what an incredibly moving vlog it was with you communicating so clearly what you are going through. HI Michel! I love your vlogs. When I divorced many many years ago, I kept my ex's last name because I was pregnant and didn't want the confusion of my son having a different last name than I did. After 13 years of marriage, within 6 months of moving into our dream home, getting pregnant after 7 years of trying, my ex walked in the door at 3:00am and and announced "I want a divorce". It was the worst moment of my life. But I survived and have now been married to a wonderful man for 23 years. My son is now grown and has a lovely wife (that I call my daughter in love) and I have 2 adorable grand children. Take it a day at a time. Cry when you need to. Let the emotions flow. Just don't let them consume you or define you. You be you. And "you" are wonderful as you are!!! Hoping 2022 is the perfect year for you!

When I divorced I had two sons so I kept my married name just because of the consistency. I was going to change it back once they grew up but now I've used it so long, it would be silly to change it back. But if I was single and didn't have any kids I would definitely change it back to my maiden name. - fresh start!

Whoa no no no. You have nothing to do with not being "chosen". You were chosen and you can't control if someone can't hold to what they chose and committed to. That solely comes from within a person. Nothing you could be or do can fix that within another person. Know that. Do not let what another is capable of or their issues to be placed on you or how you see yourself at all. Women tend to do that, especially when younger, but someone else's actions and choices to not reflect you. Wearing a Barefoot Dream cardigan right now...so comfy. For blankets I give everyone Unhide Marshmallow blankets. My kids are addicted to them, as am I.

Loved the video! Thanks for sharing a little bit of your Christmas! Also, please forgive me on this as it’s the EMT in me, but please get a helmet for riding your bike! Never know if you’ll hit a rock on the pavement or some loose sand on the trails. I trail ride a lot and have seen people take spills that end up not being as bad as it could be cause they were safe. At home in Puerto Rico we don’t change names, family names are two last names long. However, several of my married friends in the states have gone several routes. What I noticed is that when kids are involved a name change helps and keeping it when divorced too (at least until kids are grown. Since I might be biases about the I’m not losing mi identity aka name, I will say go for your own!!! (Meaning Janse). But again, be aware I’m biased towards keeping original names

HI Michel! I love your vlogs. When I divorced many many years ago, I kept my ex's last name because I was pregnant and didn't want the confusion of my son having a different last name than I did. After 13 years of marriage, within 6 months of moving into our dream home, getting pregnant after 7 years of trying, my ex walked in the door at 3:00am and and announced "I want a divorce". It was the worst moment of my life. But I survived and have now been married to a wonderful man for 23 years. My son is now grown and has a lovely wife (that I call my daughter in love) and I have 2 adorable grand children. Take it a day at a time. Cry when you need to. Let the emotions flow. Just don't let them consume you or define you. You be you. And "you" are wonderful as you are!!! Hoping 2022 is the perfect year for you!

When I divorced I had two sons so I kept my married name just because of the consistency. I was going to change it back once they grew up but now I've used it so long, it would be silly to change it back. But if I was single and didn't have any kids I would definitely change it back to my maiden name. - fresh start!
