I've never had an issue with the ground clearance on the Rustler. It' does GREAT in the snow with the 4 paddle tires. Just bought my Granddaughter the pink 4x4 Rustler for Christmas.
Best Video to help me to find partnumbers for make my rustler more hoss. Thanx a lot. Someone knows a german guy how schredded his hoss and all 4 Sledgehammer tyres are fine and on sale ;)
Stuck between a Rustler 4x4 VXL and possibly a Hoss. From what I can glean the Hoss is slightly taller and heavier with a bigger motor. I'd be primarily bashing on 2s with potential for 3s, so the Maxx seems a bit beyond my batteries. Leaning towards the rustler. thoughts?
Greenman2288 if your thinking of doing 2s then I would do the Rustler. The Rustler can always be upgraded to the bigger tires, but I wouldn’t run the Hoss on 2s.
I'm so much of a traxxas fan but arrma is killing the game right now.. I'm thinking about the Hoss but arrma just dropped the 1/7 felony the 1/7 exb Kraton and 1/5 scale outcast... So I'm just stuck because I love traxxas so much.. But they truly need to drop some more 1/7 scale I wish the hoss was 1/7
@@VoyageRC Yes Yes u are definitely right..I totally forgot about that.. With that being said and watching your video..well Im definitely about to get the Hoss...Oh Yeahhhh!!!!!Thanks for reminding me👍
I’m thinking I’ll just get the Maxx. As crazy as it sounds I was thinking of selling my Xmaxx and just getting a Maxx. Now before you think I’m full crazy lol I’ve had a hard time finding somewhere to run the Xmaxx this year so I’ve been running my Tekno 1:8 buggy a lot. It’s such a big beast. So that’s where I think a Maxx, even with the wide kit would be perfect as it’s around the size of a 1/8 buggy. The hoss is cool but not for me I don’t really do the 1/10 anymore unless it would be like a 4tec 2.0
Picture to picture (from traxxas site), I see the chassis is different, the shafts appear different, obviously tires and body, and wheelie bar. other than that, it looks like the rustler. add the bigger motor, torque vextoring diff and maybe some cosmetics. i don't see 470.00 there. honestly 400.00 would be max. BTW the wheelbase is identical (this according to specs) to the rustler 4X4
$400 gets you a Rustler 4x4 VXL. This truck is the same wheelbase, and essentially, a big tire Rustler 4x4. It does have the bigger motor and the center diff, which before, was an optional part. $470 is a little high but I think if you compare it to its little brother (rustler 4x4) than the price is about where it should be. Personally, I would jump up to the MAXX.
Customer “The Rustler 4x4 would be cooler with a bigger tire and more ground clearance”. Traxxas “Hold my beer”

@@robertwren2289 Rustler 4x4 is great!
Throw some stampede or slash shock towers on it throw some super swampers on it then top it off with a f250 body
@@ponyboy2195 or the proline body mounts for rustler 4x4.

FRED SOSA haha your welcome
Nice video, hat tip!
🤠
Is the 2400kv from the hoss and maxx just a remake of the 2400kv from the funny cars?
Good question. Im not familiar with the funny car setup. This “new” motor is a 540xl. 🤷🏻♂️

az...i knew it...lol looks like the 51 or maybe the 101 behind you..anyways,grate video
Travis Ledin 202... haha I guess I have to move now.
As for me, I think the MAXX is a better truck, but there is the price difference that will help some get into the hobby.
Well put
Still plastic axles 😬
Travis Drury Yup 🤦🏼♂️
There are the good new ones much stronger
Peter Hurley stronger, yes. Still gonna break? Yes! Lol Atleast they used the better ones.
