Sweet I have family ties to that lumber company. My moms uncle's grandfather operated a steam donkey on one of their camps so he saw many trains roll by his camp with caboose's like that caboose you guy's have.

Update, Orange Empire is restoring Emma Nevada back to steam, and they are dead serious. Half of the valve gear linkage has been taken out, the firebox has been gutted, all of the backhead gauges and piping have been taken out, a new air-compressor and piping have been installed, a new air tank and air lines have been mounted on the tender, and a new draw bar & pin have been installed on the engine and tender. What lies next is to undo the boiler jacket, take out the boiler tubes, and give the boiler an ultra sound, but they need donations and volunteers to help out in order to get her back to working order.

Those are great photos, and it's nice to see her getting some sun light.

Right now she's just a static display at the museum. The locomotive hasn't run in years since being retired after experiencing boiler problems at the Grizzley Flats Railroad. However, I was told that she might be restored in the future, but it's mighty expensive.

Durango offered to restore her, and in return use her to haul the Presidential Special at railfests, but Orange Empire turned it down. That is one big mistake.

it's a shame she doesn't run anymore it would be nice if they could get her up and running again

This is an AWESOME photo/video collection of the narrow gauge equipment! In my opinion, Emma Nevada is THE prettiest narrow gauge steam loco still in existence! BTW is that a hybrid caboose at 1:20?

I am not too sure, I recently started volunteering at the OERM so I don't know too much other that it requires some work. Although I have heard they may eventually build enough narrow gauge track for it to run on. As of now the tracks you see in this video are more or less all the narrow gauge track they have laid so far. I will admit I'd love to see it run too it'd would be a pretty amazing sight.

What if Emma Nevada can visit the Durango and Silverton and Cumbres and Toltec in the future if it can fit on their tracks?

It would cool, if only there was somebody else that can help restore Emma Nevada to operation again. I would like to see the locomotive back in operation.

the Emma Nevada is not the only one being restored. the chole is being restored as well I'm not to sure about that union pacific Mikado. i don't think the tracks will support its weight

There are rumors going about stating that Ema will soon be receiving a new boiler, and will be back in steam. I am not sure if it's true or not, we'll have to wait and see.

@@tylergreen4843 the Emma Nevada is currently in California, the opposite side of the country from WDW. But if they were to take it there, it could run there if restored since the WDWRR locos are roughly the same size as the Emma Nevada.
