ROAR TRACK ATTACK: Aro & Trilo’ - Back To My Roots

- Today's Track Attack artists are children of the 1980s on a mission to bring back the '90s rave sound they grew up enthralled by but too young to rave to.
Aro & Trilo' are a music producing and DJing duo who have worked with many artists in the hip-hop and club scene separately before joining forces to make some old skool '90s inspired tracks, having done their fair share of raving at The Sanctuary in Milton Keynes and London's Bagleys film studios.
Aro - AKA Aron Moore, 33, from Lancashire - started mixing at 13 in a local youth club and went on to become resident at the biggest club in his home town by age 17 before going on to play bigger clubs such as Bowlers, playing on the same bill as legends like Stu Allen & Ratpack. His tunes had plays on BBC radio and he runs a multi-genre record label called Ora Room Records.
Trilo' - AKA John Tapping, 37, from London - also started as a DJ in his early teens, cutting his teeth at small pirate radio bashes, before eventually leaning more towards turntablism, later learning music production and becoming a rapper/MC. He is now engineering for an array of local artists and also hosts podcasts on his UA-cam channel RUN IT R.E.D.
Trilo' said of this track, Back To My Roots: "The idea came about from Aro's sheer love for the vocal and piano in the original that he sampled it from, and gave me the project file to make into a full-length arrangement by adding more samples and breaks to fill the song out."
Aro said: "The reason we set out to make this style of '90s rave music is because modern hardcore is so far removed from its roots these days. Our aim is to take it back to the more chopped breaks style from where it originated."
