Saw Jack with the fabulous caprettos a few months back, I’d been dreaming of seeing him ever since listening to the southern sons in my late teens.. he absolutely is incredible. And while John Farnham has always been my favourite as a kid and still now, Jack - don’t feel the pressure or the uncomfort… you are absolutely so good and no one else come close to John, except you. Incredible musicians, each in their own rights and together.
If ever you get to see an acoustic show such as this, do so, you will be blown away. There are several clips on my channel including the Fabulous Caprettos. Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment.
This was already my favourite song ever... I never knew the background, so for that only this was an awesome find, the John Farnham comparison dynamic itself was enough, but Jack's grace to everything.....another level... Then this brilliant bastard smashes out this rendition of his song!!!!!... Sorry, but fuck the rage version; the basis on which my existence and being is based on.... this on it's own at its least, just rearranged my entire life. Thanks Jack. You are what we're all meant to be, and an inspiration to everyone everywhere!
Wow! what a powerful comment. Some people do not like the waffle and just want the song - your comment embraces why I love to leave it in. Jack aka Irwin I know I am repeating myself, repeating myself.. when I say he is the most humble artist I have ever met and I have met many local & international artists. Sorry about the shaky start - I was trying to video and release my album cover from its cardboard coffin. Blessings to you🌻
@@msfyn Thanks. I hope I get to see him in concert. I think the most important thing i forgot to mention: Jack has no need to compare himself to John. He is f&^kin incredible in his own merit! Love you man! And @msfyn ... perfect capture of Aussie music, culture and love!

Saw him perform w the SS gents at Southport Nov 2019 w half a voice & still battled through all the SS ballads 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Met JJ after the show & as buggered as he was he was still sooo humble! 💖🎙💖
@@msfyn I can't remember if that was a special edition of their Nothing But the Truth album, but I do remember I had a cassette tape that had Lead Me To Water and You Were There unplugged version at the end :D

With no disrespect to John Farnham, I believe Jack is far more versatile. We are all entitled to our opinions {and I also enjoy John Farnham's music}. Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment.
Jack should sing some Lead with Noiseworks - do some Southern Sons tunes in the middle, like Queen+Paul Rodgers did some Free and Bad Company tunes in Queen shows

My wife & I saw this legend in Mornington solo awhile back..what an awesome night. He was blown away when the crowd were singing along to his set list 🙏🏻 Just on another note 😜.. can anyone send me a link to the chords & tuning? I’ve tried but can’t seem to online 🙏🏻
@@grantmiller1077 I play this song in standard tuning (for me - capo 2 and in G) Not as sweet as the voicings in whatever this tuning is (open D?) but it works - and let me be the first to say I’m not worthy to even tune his guitars 😊 either as a player or a singer. But I love playing and singing and I love these songs
