It’s not often that we got to see The Queen giving an interview. She hardly gives her opinion about anything or unless it is a speech. I love the way she looked at the Duke like “Say something you too” 😂 and he understood. ❤
this might be the first time i’ve ever seen Her Majesty give an interview. really fascinating to see. it was so rare we got to hear her viewpoints on things
What's interesting to watch about this is the deep thought that going on in HLMQEII's and Prince Philip's head during this interview. Prince Philip was an extremely honest man when he said, makes you wonder what's going on at home, you knew he was doing comparisons and contrasts in his head. I which we could know the conversations that happened when they arrived back home.
If only we had such an enlightened monarch, "I think it's wonderful how the Gulf countries are using their oil revenues for such tremendous development."
Philip was always trying to interrupt the Queen. Rather rude. I don’t know why he thought we would be more interested what he had to say than the actual Queen! 🙄
I don’t care for the Queen being interviewed glad she didn’t give many. I do like when she is shown something or it is explained to her and she may ask a question.
Karen K, You are correct. The questions were pre scripted and the responses given were in alignment with the Government and particularly with the Foreign Office , which would have been approved . And as to be expected , Her responses were non controversial , gracious and polite . The Duke was “ allowed “ to refer to and acknowledge the capability of British expertise in building projects , much hampered at home . Furthermore, it was very much in keeping with the UK Prime Minister of the time whom always sought to support British expertise , workers abroad and stop decent working men at home being held hostage by militant unions seeking to disrupt and take control , for the benefit of themselves and not the hard working Man. And just as The Queen should always have done, praised and supported Her Countrymen without stating any politics . A pity that this was such a rare occasion . So, well spotted , Karen K and don’t be put off by your critics who seem to not know or understand the finer points of the tour and the reasons for such a rare “interview” . British diplomacy at its finest and you sensed the working of it.

Imagine being in a world where those remarks remotely resembled an opinion, too.
☺️💙🇬🇧
Prince Philip as always doing the heavy lifting of saying the cheeky unsafe stuff 😄
~53 years of age. She's so lovely.
This is great to see. It is very rare that Her Majesty The Queen gave an interview. May they both rest in peace, they are together again now.
I Miss her 😢
The Queen was 52 and Philip 57 at the time.
One of my step-dad greatest moments in the navy , was how he served the Queen.
It was his biggest highlights of being in the Navy .
Rarely see the Queen's interview

Wtf was that ending
A kind of exorcism dance of the middle east.
I don't know, but it looked cool
Phillip would be intetested in china's development and regret his dismissing chinese as slit eyes 😀😩
Is it me or are they reading something fed to them? I'm sure all the questions were pre approved as well
Its you because neither the Queen nor Prince Philip were reading scripts.
It's you. Learn to read people better because this is a very strange sense you have about this bit of video.
I'm sorry, but if they needed scripts to say something this flat and politically correct, I'd be worried.

They're not reading a script, it's that they don't normally do interviews.. Also their answers are measured because they need to be a political.
