My dad had just died and I felt like he had given up on life. No one put him in the ground but himself. Feeling too much will make you want to give up. I know that now. Anyway, this song made me feel stronger. Like I wasn’t alone, even though every day I fought not to feel that way. As an obnoxious teenager I played this song over and over and over. People hear this song and they think of me and I love that music can imprint like that. Years later I am grown with kids of my own and listening to this takes me right back to those days. It’s bittersweet. I will forever love this song with all my heart. ❤️
