    I have 8,426 tabs open on my laptop trying to navigate BR website and samples to try to figure out their science program. You posted this just in time for me at least. I’m looking forward to watching now!

    We are using the Prehistoric World unit for a full half year. I love these programs bc they are so customizable and easily expanded. Next we’re looking at Level 4 and I think that alone will be a whole two-year dive😊

    Thank u for the walkthrough. I’m planning on pairing Science Odyssey Earth/ Environment with B&R Grade 5 Oceanography and then use B&R Astronomy with Science Odyssey Astronomy 🤔. Was hoping u could maybe give me some feedback on that idea. Do u think it would be to much ?

    If I live in another country and the books are not available in the library. Any suggestions how I can get the books without purchasing them all?

    • @Arleneandcompany
      @Arleneandcompany  Рік тому +1

      There’s several books you can find here on UA-cam (picture books mainly), from channels that have permission to share it. Library channels, author reads etc. You can also look under archive.org for older books, some are available for free online as a pdf. That should help dwindle down the list of books you need to buy.

    Hi 👋 Thanks for the video. I am debating about getting the coordinating nature curriculum with the level 1 science curriculum and am trying to find more info. The sample online doesn’t give much. How does it coordinate? What are the activities? Is it worth the buy? I do regular nature walks and journaling with my daughter so debating whether adding an official coordinating curriculum will actually be beneficial or not. Thx!

      Hi, the nature component can be incorporated if you crave more intentional outdoor activities. Keep in mind that the science gives an option for outdoor lab/activities for most wonders. It will be indicated in the guide when to incorporate a week in the nature guide, However, it can be rearrange to whatever suits you. The sample is a full week example you’re seeing, with the activity noted. Not sure which one you were looking at, but take a look at this link and let me know if you still have questions. It’s meant to be flexible, it will not indicate a day by day schedule.

    Is there no supply list in year 4? We are picking our curricula for our next year and we're hoping to see what we need to budget for supplies. 😬

    • @Arleneandcompany
      @Arleneandcompany  2 місяці тому

      Apart from the required book list and highly recommended titles listed under each level on the site, are you asking about additional optional titles? If you don’t already own the files, you'll be able to see the required titles, but optional ones are only accessible upon purchase (and they are strictly optional). As for supplies specific to lessons, they're usually everyday items readily available with some exceptions. You can find all this information under optional books and supplies, accessible upon purchase.

      @@michellehamilton7703 did you purchase the curriculum already and looking where it’s located or are you asking if you can see it prior to purchase? Just making sure I’m understanding you correctly.

      We have been using year 4 LA but haven't purchased Science yet. I didn't see it here in your flip through so I was wondering if there was one at all.

    • @Arleneandcompany

      @@michellehamilton7703 Ah, I see what you mean! The supplies for science work a bit differently due to the unique format. With the science courses (not sure if you've tried other levels of science), you have the option to choose which hands-on lab or activity to complete-it's like a choose-your-own-adventure approach. The lab supplies are listed under the lab guide for each potential route in the lesson. So, if one week you decide based on the activity which one would fit you best at that particular time, you have the list of what you need right there.
      Families often choose which route to take for a specific lesson based on factors like available supplies or time constraints, among others. You'll also see some optional additional supplies mentioned in the intro, which can be used under specific lessons. In future updates, there will be a master list at the beginning of the lab guide for added convenience. (most are things you already have in your home) However, it's still recommended to read the lesson first before purchasing supplies you don’t have at home, as you may choose a different type of hands-on activity each week depending on the topic.
      This detailed information about the curriculum and lessons is only available upon purchase. But you'll have several options to choose from with each lesson, including minimal supply lists that require no additional supplies beyond your spine and visual elements.
