I remember snow shoveling in downtown Vancouver at night time with a couple people it was a fun experience especially in late and early hours because nobody was out due to the cold or the blizzard so we pretty much had it all to ourselves..
If this is an intro to Vancouver I would not be tempted to visit. However, I never visited downtown. Went to Stanley Park, visited and stayed in Abbotsford and surrounding areas and they were beautiful and amazing. Not too impressed with this part of downtown. Tfs though. Near the end of this video is very pleasant to watch so all is not lost

Yeah... Vancouver is Canada's Portland, Oregon. I'd say skip it and visit Victoria, but it's not much better, sadly :(

Why can't the city clean up all that graffiti? I would be afraid to walk there, let alone live there.
It is no longer the city that I liked.
